Why delist when you can trade ;)

No one is that stupid to take him

Im probably speaking out of my arse here but is it possible that MM is turning a blind eye to Williams after that ripper of a 9 pointer against Richmond in Pre Season. This is a similair thing to cricket, they will not drop Clarke despite his recent shyte performance because he won the Alan Border medal in between the two test series

Its a shame that you accept mediocrity so easily.

Perhaps you ought to barrack for Fremantle...sounds like they're right up your alley.

williams has become the collingwood scapegoat :p

Scapegoat??

Nah...he's just a dud. Quite simple really. Now if you have no problem watching soft marshmellows like him run around in the black and white...then fine...thats your perogative.

however......most of us other supporters who bleed black and white.....who have been watching our side through thick and thin, have every right to be disgusted that a player who so obviously just doesn't have the talent...who week after week produces F(ck all, who on a good day might tally up 5 possesions of uselessness, and who continues to get a game when it is clear to everyone with half a brain (ok, maybe not you) that he is just not up to AFL standard.

Mind you, O'bree and WoeWoeful should f(ck right off with him to Williamstown.

Surely there is at least one club out there we can stooge to take Williams.

If not, it would be an improvement to the current team's performance if we delisted him today.
Our clanger count would drop immediately, and we would have to put someone into the team that might be able to play footy.

Welcome to 2003. Contrary to popular opinion he wasn't any good then and hasn't improved. He should have been traded at the end of 2003 when some people still had some opinion of him. Right now he is worthless and wouldn’t get taken in the PSD. He'll probably be in the 1's next week though.

The issue isn't Williams. He is just another in a long line of Ben Kinnears. It is the selection and retention that is the issue.

Unlike 2003, we seem to have some Reserves who actually deserve promotion. In the past, Williams and O'Bree etc got a game because there was more of the same quality of dud in the seconds. No we have some genuinely exciting prospects playing good footy for Willy, and these players must be given a chance.

I refer to H Shaw Rusling Iaccobucci, (and Egan down the track), plus the return to form of King Swan and even Lokan. And soon we get Josh and Richards, as well as another game under the belt for Didak.
