Surely if we thought he was up to AFL standard we would have kept him? We already had enough spots to fulfill our quota of picks in the draft, and as a promoted rookie he's hardly in a position to demand big $$$, so I don't think salary cap issues were a problem.
The only possible reason to dump him now is that we don't think he is up to it and hope to give some other kid a go (or alternatively Fergus Watts through the PSD - and yes I really think this is a possibility) in his place.

Its hard to know all the ins and outs...as much as I would like to in this instance. The Grima case does interest me for some reason. It seems to say alot about the mindset of the club and how they are constantly looking to improve the list. The other delistments you can explain readily...I think you wanted Grima to stay too Reg if I read a recent post correctly...so I doubt this was completely black and white for the coaches.
In other words I think Grima is up to AFL footy...I think the GFC thinks he is up to it also...but we just dont need him right now as badly as perhaps we need to try a different type of player. You mention Fergus Watts and I am sure you are right its about giving someone else a go. IMO it doesnt always have to relate to someone not being up to it...just a preference of one player over another.
He may have received some interest from other clubs but I agree in the end that money probably played no part at all.
So as usual Reg good to chat with you...agree with most of what you say just a different perspective here and there.
