What would you have gave us? Tivendale

Apparently Jason Cloke is on our radar. Don't think he's good enough. Slow and ordinary skills. Might need him though if Solly goes. Thoughts ?
Jaymin said:I'm surprised that there has been no mention of Brett Thornton in this thread. He is exactly what we need at Essendon. Apparently he is after a heap more than Carlton have offered him.
Rumoured that a club has offered him 3 years....also rumoured that Sheedy has met with him.
Diffference is Thornton is not 28-30 hes only 22. I'd offer him a 3 yr deal to get him.mbosca said:agree i want to get him. Problem is the fact we offered our best and fairest lucas only 2 years and we would have to offer 3 to thornton to come to us... same situation with aker.
Longy413 said:If Carlton try and push Laycock into the PSD we can do exactly the same thing to Thornton.
If they are both going to go, coming to a trade seems the more logical outcome. That leaves both clubs the option to use their PSD picks elsewhere.
I guess in the end we're just all guessing though. I don't trust any story that comes out of Carlton in regards to their players having contract disputes. It just happens far too often.
crowugoodthing said:Sorry if it's been mentioned before as i have not gone and read all the posts, but what are your thoughts on the possibility of Chris Ladhams heading back your way for a late draft pick or maybe even a PSD?
Merv Neagle said:I would think it's highly unlikely
crowugoodthing said:Don't be surprised, he is still at a good age and is one of the best players outside of the AFL. Trust me it is a real possibility.
