I can imagine Dill Cleary predicting that also in his best Peter Russell Clark impersonation.

I think we'll pick up Mourish too.

Mourish?? Elabourate on this bloke please.

And I think Davey will go around where I have picked because he is almost ready made.. 5 or 6 games and he will have adjusted to the pace and will be a great pickup. The 18 year olds who go around this position wont be so ready made.

Putting something up in the air.
Would it be worth having Jeremy Clayton on any AFL list. Quite easily the best player in the SANFL at the moment. Gets a high number of disposals each week and has had a few bags of 6 goals this year. Could be of some value to be picked up in the PSD. Though he is in his mid-twenties.

has he ever been on an afl list, if not he can be picked up on a mature age rookie list. SANFL is quite a step below AFL level, just like the VFL and i think winderlich, dyson and maybe even reynolds went back and picked up plenty of possys and kicked a few goals in one game.

He was on the Kangaroos list.

Port had a look at him again at the end of last season but he is generally considered too small for AFL.

Pity though as he is probably the best player in Australia not on an AFL list.

So are most AFL players.

Adelaide have mentioned theyre willing to look at offers for Ken McGregor. Not to suggest we would want him, but a 3 way deal with a club that requires a tall could land us perhaps another draft pick or better yet, a capable yet unlucky midfielder. Example would be Laycock to Adelaide, McGregor to either the Dogs/Melb/Gee/Tigers and perhaps one of their first draft picks or midfielders to us.

I'd doubt McGregor will be traded, they dont have many forwards and with hentchsel down McGregor needs to be there for them to have another tilt at the granny. But if we were able to get a high draft pick or capable midfielder then yeah possible.

Not a bad strategy- especially with Biglands out for next year, and Doc Clarke retiring. Could be worth letting DUD oro know.

I dare say we're all going to be in for a few surprises come trade week. I sink my teeth into any tall merely mentioned as possible trade bait. I like to think anyone that dons the red n black (pardon the pun..) has the ambition to wear it for their entire career. Hence my apprehension to Aker and Gibbs.

The club have come out and said he will not be traded. Read it in the paper today over here.
