Going from my memory ( which is fading fast ) he wasn't.
I cant look it up atm, but will do so when i have a chance.

From my memory it's a bit of a myth that started cause Olaranshaw lived in Essendon and barracked for Foostcray, where as West was the reverse.

With melbourne being interested in JJ, I think we should be trying to get Brent Moloney off them, hasnt played all season due to injury and he might just be seen as surplus with the emergence of mclean and sylivia.

Wouldn't like our chances, he's a good player and would still be rated highly by the Dee's, JJ isn't a definate chance to leave yet, he'll probably sign a 2-year deal in the end

mate if our recuitment department is doing their job then the paper shouldnt know who we are actually after.

I would think that Essendon will be very pro active this trading period, and would be surprised if any of the paper talk concerning us at this stage has any real credence.

Lets give the recruiting dept the benifit of the doubt, until deals are actually done.

but merv our recruting department has been the same for whatthe last 7 years and what have they done, they always leave things to last minute and then on most occasions miss out.

to jules, i do not agree with your statement, its not necessarily the recruiting department that leaks information to the papers on whom we may trade, its the players managers who are looking after their clients. if essendon were doing there jobs there would be plenty of rumours surrounding essendon possible trade candidates.

It also says that sheeds is prepared to trade for another top 20 pick, could this be laycock.

Doesnt surprise me, as I tipped it over a month ago...although would much prefer Cameron over Jason and would be pretty excited about taking Cameron on. He's got some mongrel in him and he's a big lump of a lad...just what we need to develop along with our young midfield brigade and albeit, a plan B should Kep continue to frustrate us.
