Doesnt surprise me, as I tipped it over a month ago...although would much prefer Cameron over Jason and would be pretty excited about taking Cameron on. He's got some mongrel in him and he's a big lump of a lad...just what we need to develop along with our young midfield brigade and albeit, a plan B should Kep continue to frustrate us.

yeah and his a knob

but merv our recruting department has been the same for whatthe last 7 years and what have they done, they always leave things to last minute and then on most occasions miss out.

But that has been in years when we were playing finals footy, except for last year, and it probably wasnt seen to be a big priority.
We have never really made a big error in trading players and usually come out on the best end of the trade.
Have you ever condsidered this is because we are prepared to not trade if the other club doesnt give some ground, thus letting us get what we want if they do crack?

Have some faith and wait until the trades are done before you pass judgement on them.

With melbourne being interested in JJ, I think we should be trying to get Brent Moloney off them, hasnt played all season due to injury and he might just be seen as surplus with the emergence of mclean and sylivia.

If not what other players apart from yze do you think they are likely to offer?
Aww yeh i wish we could get brent moloney..His like one of my favorite players but i dnt think it will happen

my faith has quivered, i barrack for winners and we have been down for 2 years. We lost hardwick and blumfield for nothing and now we may let jj go??? it doesnt make sense to lose players such as hardwick and now jj who are the fabrication of our club's makings. We then go out and recruti players like cupido and campo, so forgive me for having little faith.

Get judd & kerr.

any chance of us trying to get miller from melbourne. we may be able to turn him into a solid chb and buy the sounds of things he is available for the right price. thought?

yeah would be great but i think the only talk of him going somewhere diminished after his finals performance and the only chance of him being traded is to brisbane. doubt he will be traded

Well i think we have all had some concerns, but when you are down is when the club really needs you to stick hard.
No offence to your name but the Blumfield loss was not a loss at all and i think Hardwick was related to salary cap problems.
Don't get sucked in by the paper talk and although i concede it is possible we MAY be looking to shop around JJ, he will most probably be in the red and black for the next 2 years.
As others have mentioned, he may also have injury concerns, so if we believe that is the case, isnt it prudent to try to get something for him at his peak value?

The cupido experiment didn't work yes, but i'm sure you could see what our recruiters could see in him?
I think the Campo pick up was a good one , as we got him for nothing, and given a better run with injuries, will prove to be a good pickup.

Have some faith, soon we will have a whole new bunch of talented kids, will have offloaded a lot of our duds, and maybe even traded into a good footballer or 2.

we'll see next week but im betting on getting kelly and probably trading laycock for a high draft pick, i reckon they will try and snare leunberger with pick 2, thorpe with a possible top 10 draft pick for laycock and then midfielders with there next 2 selections.

With Laycock today signing the 2 year deal who r we gonna be trading??? OR are we going to have yet another quite trade week?

Just reading BB where Uncle Herb posted Carlton will not be taking Gibbs, he is a very reliable source as he runs the website. Very interesting indeed.

who knows????? welsh, nlm, jj, solly, mcphee i dont know. all i know is im happy we signed laycock hopefully he has a solid pre-season we need him to help hille. Lots of games this year in particular the first hawthorn game we got smashed in when hille was rested.

Two more than capable backmen....Michael and Hart...pretty handy to have for a year or two depending on their durability. Certinaly wouldnt argue picking them up with our last picks, then using them in an off field role once their time elapses.

I feel this would be a real move backwards
Hart has had a lot of injuries over the last 2 years and is at the wrong end of the age bracket while Michael wants to train less and sounds like he doesn't have the real dedication needed any more.

We need young, keen as players now.

I agree with you, wouldnt want to waste anything other than our final pick on the two Ive brought up, but if all thats left is some kids and the likes of these two....it should be considered. Aside from Michael's recent requests to scale down his training, Hart in particular has a great work ethic and wouldnt be required to take the best forward.
