But picking up a couple of round 3 draft selections is big for us and with this being the 'Super' draft we could get a couple of great kids.

Yep, so the way I consider it is we went from:

2, 18, 20, 36, 52, 68 and Solly possibly lost to the PSD

to

2, 18, 20, 36, 42, 47

thought we might be able to snag a second rounder for solly but can't really complain about two third rounders. i might shed a tear if solly wins a premiership with the dockers next season though. although, you'd think it would have to be in 2007 if ever since they are pretty much not participating in the super draft now!

We did the right thing....he probably wont suit the fast track up there and lets be honest...he's only up there for some added strength. We're looking to recruit speed and run into our game so now its up to the football department to recruit sensibly in this 'superdraft'

Give him a season on that fast surface. I just dont see him being able to keep up with the speed they have adopted into their game. Im tipping he'll give them one good season, then taper off dramatically. They dont call it the 'house of pain' for nothing.

Totally agree with you, this will be the hardest pre season he'll ever endure to at least get him conditioned for their style of game and venue. If I were him, Id be getting cosy with the ground curators..

Just noticed that Pick 42 is slightly better than at first glance.

Reason is that Picks 40 and 41 will be used to pick up Josh Kennedy and Tom Hawkins for Hawthorn and Geelong as Father/Son selections. So you could consider us to have the 40th live pick on draft day.
