Burgatron has us taking the following -

Pick 2 - Scott Gumbleton
Pick 18 - David Armitage
Pick 20 - Nathan Krakouer
Pick 26 - Ricky Petterd
Pick 36 - Jarryd Allen
Pick 42 - Brad D_ick
Pick 47 - Bachar Houli
Pick 68 - Pass

Obviously pick 2 is a toss up, Armitage at 18 would be pleasing.
I must confess that I don't know much about Petterd, reports suggest he's a skillful midfielder.

I can't see us taking Krakouer, D_ick and Houli in the one draft.

We don't have pick 26.

Its been corrected now.

Yes but its not our pick anyway.
Given we have already have Dempsey and Lovett i doubt very much that we will draft two more skinny kids in Krakour and D*ck in the one draft.

i think we will get d**k later in the draft say 42 or 47 but with 20 i think it will be one of the browns if we pick selwood or if we pick gumby/hansen we will pick up an inside mid at 20

Peel Thunder key forward/defender Scott Gumbleton has confirmed he will be having a meeting with Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy on Friday, less than 24 hours before Saturday's NAB AFL Draft.

But Gumbleton was unsure what would come out of the proposed meeting.

"I speak to him today actually - straight after this - and I don't know whether I'll get any indication or not, but we'll just see what happens," Gumbleton said.

"I had a meeting with him at Draft Camp and he was pretty intimidating, but Dad will be with me this time, so hopefully it'll be better.

"He actually didn't really speak to me (at the Draft Camp) - it was just his colleagues speaking to me and he just sat there and listened."

Gumbleton said he was still unsure which AFL club he would be drafted by, although the strong indications are that he will be selected in the top four, with one of either Essendon, Kangaroos and Brisbane Lions his new likely home.

"I honestly couldn't tell you - I do not really know (where I will go) - it'll all depend on the day on who gets called out first and who gets called out second and it depends," Gumbleton said on Friday at AFL House.

"I'd love to stay in WA, but I don't think that's going to happen, but anywhere in Melbourne I'd be happy and I've got a few mates over here now, so it'll be good.

"Essendon, Kangaroos and Brisbane have been pretty interested in me through Draft Camp and I've had other chats with Brisbane and the Kangaroos and I've got another chat with Essendon today, so I'll find out tomorrow."

Taking nothing away from Gumbleton, but if I had to choose.....Id STILL stick with Hansen. Size, smarts, marking ability...14.3 in beep testing for a kid his size is incredible.

Gumbleton is bigger and has a motor that is just as big as hansens. He will make defenders collapse with exaustion when he realises his potential in a few years. He also has the ability to split packs open, he's a much more physical footballer than hansen and that is a rare commodity in modern football. When he fills out he will hurt some blokes.

Forwards win you games and any athletic mug can play CHB, well that is how i think anyway.

Yep, I'm starting to think Gumby could be the one.
I still like Hansen and this isn't the first time I've changed my mind.

Could problem to have.

I doubt we'll lose with anybody we pick. Adrian dodoro could have an all night bender and still turn up tommorow and have a good draft.

didnt gumby run a 14.2 in the beep test plus he is a better kick,i hope we get this kid but really any of these two is an exciting thing for the club and us fans

If we do take Gumby, would he be able to play CHB if need be or is he more of a forward?

he can play both ends although he's a better forward than backman. In 3-4 years time he'll be ready to carry the forward line. By that stage lloyd and lucas will be pretty much finished.

more of a forward but has played back, isnt as good as hansen but i thought he looked pretty good in the championships.im pretty sure he will be played as a forward in the afl.
