So your IP can't pick it up? Bugger.

It's not a matter of my IP cant pick it up, I'm IP blocked by BigScum because they have a list of allowed IP address ranges and those only cover the Australian IP address ranges.

If I could connect to a terminal server in Australia, I could watch the videos no problems... but that defeats the whole communications thing.

Can we nickname him the Grouch??? or too far?

Second play in. Sorry THS, that looked awfully like darling that Watson just completely outclassed :thumbsu:

Pretty sure it was twice too.

Geez that left peg is a weapon. Take the kick outs Watson, you know you want to.

RELEASE GIBBS...

Hopefully these blokes are quality, because on paper, this was a magic draft period that was nicely complemented by the few trades we made.

The buzz-word around these parts has been 'releasing' - and Hughes has definately heeded that.

Watson provides back-up for Austin, pushing Bower onto a flank to play a Mackie-type role in which he excels. McCarthy just for that bit of extra cover, and too good value to pass up at 34, really.

Mitchell leads hard at the ball, and can release Waite to play a floating role should he come up the goods. Also creates for Waite a less 'key' role in the team, promoting the development of tall posts - and lets us chuck him on the wing for that 'x-factor'. Collins also fills a niche role in the forward line that could prove mighty handy post-Houlihan.

McInnes/Duigan, committed and reliable off of the flank, releasing Gibbs into the midfield role he was destined to play. If any of these two, White or Laidler come up the goods, expect Russell to push into the midfield as well where he could realistically make an impact.

Not to mention we still have Lucas to add, and should one of Joe Dare (who was looking like going Second Round midway through last September - Burgan had him at 28) or O'Keeffe step it up, there's tonnes of depth and pressure for spots.

Initial thoughts: loving Carlton's draft...
...FFS, this just caps it off! Doesn't it?

Has anyone talked about his creativity? Just watching the highlights - the bloke loves to improvise with his disposal. Just hope he can match it at the top level for pace and strength, because his vision and awareness would be weapons on an AFL field.

All three of our picks rated a mention in Quayle's "Top 25" (albeit Mitchell was in the unlucky list along with 5 others). Three of the her top 30 will add that extra bit of anticipation to the offseason.

''He is like an Andrew McKay. A very intelligent person, plays half-back, tough, hard, uncompromising. He was very surprised we had any interest in him, but … we tended to pick a mature-aged player each year and he is a bit older than normal, but we are searching a bit deeper. And it is keeping the dream alive for a lot of people hopefully.''

If he is even half as good as McKay, then I will be a very happy little chappy about this new member of the blues.

woohoo....

An article I saw about Swallow says that he is a man child midfield enforcer.

Introduce Swallow to Army...

Swallow, this is Armfield... Army, this is your target... kill :D

I like, I like. But what is this new obsession with Army as a tagger? Where does this leave AJ?
