JPM's stranglehold on pole position is over, with Michael taking pole from his brother. Big surprise is Fisichella 6th and Panis 7th. Disappointments DC in a dismal 9th, Button 13th and Webber 21st.

From the reports I've read the new track isn't too popular with the drivers so I will be interested to see the race.

Bit harsh on Webber there.

As long as he keeps out qualifying his team mate by that sort of margin he is doing an OK job.

I might make the effort and stay up and watch it. At least the f1 telecasts should now be back to some sort of reasonable time.

Yoong failed to qualify for the 3rd time this season - the guy is a joke. No amount of money will keep him at Minardi next year.

I forgot to mention Arrows - great effort with a team that has no money.

Looking forward to tonight - have a feeling it could be a good race.

Yoong obviously didn't start so i don't know how he managed to come 18 th and 22nd

Apparently Webber was running hot in 14th place, and putting up better lap times than Jordan, Sauber, Toyota and Arrows. Unfortunately for him he had some hydraulic problem and was forced out on the 23rd lap.

The only other highlights were Williams return to form and Sato managed to complete a race :D

Oh and Schumacher won AGAIN!!

Agree in part with the changing of the circuit - Hockenhiem was a great circuit.

But what they did to it, it really improved the racing (in the midfield anyway). That scrap for 9th - 15th early on was really good, and that hairpin really made a great spot for passing.

It was just a shame that the reputation of Hockenhiem as a car breaker was able to ruin the race - that scrap made the race watchable.

That midfield scrap was sensational racing - and the Kimi-JPM scrap was good as well.

Also credit for that new camera angle coming out of the hairpin where the camera zoomed alongside the track, looked awesome!

Webber was right in the middle of it all until retiring, but that's motor racing I guess.

Good to see the next GP is at 10:35 - best time for the year. What a pity it's Hungary - always a complete yawn fest.
