Agree with Kong here. All good but limited servants of the club. Dyson showed a bit when bombers were playing well and his drive off half back will be good depth in that area. Lonergan could be kept at midfield depth too but cuts have to be made to improve the over all talent on the list. No doubt that Lonergan will get a gig somewhere else. Reimers still played very much for himself, Slattery worked hard but was pretty much a dud and McVeigh was finished as injuries cruelled the end of his career. No point umming and ahing when lists are so tight.

Interesting to see if Prismal, Dyson and Ross stay on the list. If they stay, the team goes well next year with minimal injuries and they don't get much of a game then I'm sure they'll be gone then. Lovett-Murray and Davey would also want to contribute heavily next season.

The addition of elite talent with Goddard and Daniher with the departures really gives a different complexion to our list.

Sad to see Lonergan delisted.. Hard, in and under type player. Will have plenty to offer another club if given the opportunity.

No? Odd conclusion to draw.
He was just not *that* good, and more to the point, wasn't improving at any measurable rate at all.
Can't run well enough to keep up these days.
Quite true, though I definitely rated his work in and under. Was definitely one of Essendon's harder midfield players. Won't put much damage into Essendon's list by being delisted though.

He was very good inside, but away from the contest he basically did nothing. Other than, occasionally bobbing up with a goal or assist, typically when the ball was forced into a contested situation deep in the forward line, he could either grub it out, or win a free from a defender not really used to going against a midfielder.

In terms of winning the ball, he'd be a 7 or 8/10, in terms of spread he'd be 3/10 or so and his disposal wasn't flash.
