Even though I knew it was coming and he hardly played this year, still sad to see fish go. Hopefully he gets picked up.

Thanks to Fish for all his efforts while at the club, was a good player in a very fev conscious forward line.

Will be interested if Browne or Anderson are asked to train with the club and try and force their way on to the rookie list. I am sure the WA clubs may have look at Browne and maybe Johnson.

Shame about Joey and ROK...not so much about ROK if the rookie talk is true.

Really feel for Fish who was so close to 100 games...should have given him a game against tiges in R20 (or 21 was it?)

What's exciting is that with Ellard, White, Garlett now on the senior list we'll see some completely new faces from rookie upgrades (CACHIA!!)

Q: Are we allowed to have an extra rookie spot on our list for Fish as a mature age rookie?

The delisting of Browne was inevitable. Even if he did have a solid end to the year, his books were stamped early on in the piece this year.

Sad for Fish, however we got a solid result from where he was drafted.

The rest were list cloggers at best, and for us to move forward, as harsh as this sounds, we need to get rid of the dead wood.

Our depth this year has been dampened somewhat, but as they say, as one door shuts, another opens.. .

Looking forward to draft day and 2011.

Bring it :thumbsu:

In other words, you're having a sook because most of these players have all been TheGeneral bandwagons at some time or another, most of which before they'd even played a game, so you could show off just how much you know about our list?
Thanks LondonCalling.

Maybe you can revisit your call on Betts?

You'll always be a hypocrite with small man's syndrome.

Surprised with a couple. Didn't expect we'd turnover 11 players this season - not even close. A couple were forced in Grigg and Jacobs and while most of the others were plodders, it does hurt out depth.

Hopefully ROK is re-rookied. Like the look of Donaldson and would like to see him given another go.

That's a pretty solid turnover. 11 out, and 2 in so far. So 9 more to come in. Say 3 from the draft, and 6 from the rookie draft. Happy with that. Surprised Joey got booted though. Cachia was lucky. Brutal cuts, but needed.

:)

Best of Luck for the future for all. Especially Fisher. Played a pivotal role in our darkest hour, have alot of respect for the players that have stuck through with us when we were crap, sounds like a great bloke too.

Have cut away quite a bit of depth, but hopefully that isn't an issue if we draft intellegently. Still think there is a role for Johnson in our team, but oh well

So that means the following numbers are available for Laidler, Collins and whoever we draft:

9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 20, 25, 26, 34, 39, 47

I say Collins can have 14, Laidler, 15 O'Keefe to regain 20 on the rookie list, 9, 10, 16, 25, 26 for players we draft in the ND, 34, 39, 47 for rookies.

This gives us 5 picks in the ND: 18, 33, 41, 67, 69

16 to be kept for next years Father/Son:thumbsu:

Which call on Betts was this? Still yet to deliver in a big match environment, doesn't put the necessary commitment in, and hasn't come on as we'd hoped, in terms of having a tank capable of playing midfield. Would trade if the appropriate offer came up.

Kudos just the same on a typical TheGeneral post featuring references to some post made years ago that even the OP has forgotten about. Would hate to see the size of your bookmarked pages folder.

And

what is it, take a swipe at TG season?

this bagging his post style is getting old...he makes great contributions to the board and he's got quirks. everyone here needs some bridge building lessons :):thumbsu:

Sometimes you've just gotta laugh... and I did...thanks:thumbsu::D

Feel really bad for Fish, would've loved to see him get to 100.
Tiller, Johnson, Browne were no surprise to me.
Anderson i thought might've stayed but im not too upset as he had his chance.
O Keefe i'm really surprised about and i really hope we pick him up as a rookie.
I'm also really excited about the rookies who have been elevated.

Feel sorry for all the guys who have been cut and best of luck in the future.

But the club has made the tough calls. And well done to Davey Ellard, Jeffy Garlett and Simon White on being promoted to the senior list. Congratulations.:thumbsu:
