How the hell did Kevin Davies not get a yellow for that tackle? Should've been sent off after the Evra tackle.

In terms of early season blistering form, recently as 2006/7 I think we came out flying. The year Ronaldo announced himself as a superstar.

Cracking performance, the boys are flying. Loving the pace, creativity, flair, movement and hunger.

I reckon we were pretty boring at times last season and won on pure belief and desire, this year we have that X factor and class.

Sex on a pitch at times!

Kevin Davies is just a no talent player who's only "skill" is to get "stuck in". Claimed pre- game that he was going to make his presence felt. End result Cleverley out for 2-3 months.

Nani wowee! Cracker goal.

Awesome first half. Thought we were pretty lucky in the second half to be honest. Loving Jones though. Reckon he'll be the best signing theyve made in years.

All of our "new" players have made a positive impact. The three signings, Cleverley and Welbeck have been great. Really have us playing at a fast tempo and free flowing.

De Gea been pretty solid since his first 2 games. His distribution and ball control with his feet has been great in all 5 games and now he's making saves.

Was a very strange game, if both sides took their chances, could've been a 8-6 scoreline. Rooney did a Terry and the pass to Berbatov just a little overhit.

Now onto the Carling Cup.

Watched the first half of this, very fast paced and exciting to watch. Started quick and the tempo never really went away.

Smalling goal shouldn't have stood, but that's football. Nani's goal was a ripper, very well struck.

Some good saves from De Gea, Ramires could have had two before half time, Torres should have scored in the first half too. How did he miss in the second half? Terrible.

Again, your guys are absolutely raping it in attack.

Awesome first half?

Not so sure about that. Overall they were pretty dominant and created more.

You created three and scored three, which won't always happen. One goal was offside from a free kick, one was via a freak deflection.

You can play far better, and have played far better.

Definitely not 'awesome' I wouldn't have though - apart from the scoreline.

Saw these and thought they were funny....

So I was at Old Trafford behind the goal in row F, as I saw Torres rounding De Gea, I expected him to score...and then it hit me. :D

Man United have made some really good summer signings. Those linesmen have been immense :D

Thought we were completely outplayed for large portions of the match TBH. It was our least impressive performance this season. Yet we created enough chances to bag 6 and in fairness so did Chelsea.

We looked dangerous when playing with width but gave the ball away far to cheaply in the centre of midfield.

Wont be that many weekends when Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and City drop points so lets enjoy it for what it is, 3 valuable points against a main rival.

We will play better and lose and Chelsea will play worse and win, thats how strange the match was for me.

Strange game.

Our defense looked shaky. Torres just loves playing against us and always tears us a new one. The talk from the media is always about him returning to his former self after us, but he tends to return to his dry run afterwards.

Two glaring misses from them Ramires and Torres when in on goal. Getting behind our back 4 way too easy.

Despite that, our attack was pretty good as it has been so far this season. Had 2 misses of our own but not as clear as Chelsea's. First half, took our chances, they didn't. Pretty much was the difference.

Looking forward to Paul Pogba possible senior debut tomorrow morning against Leeds.

Funny thing when I was watching Rooney line up the penalty I had thoughts of John Terry's
miss in the champions league final and thought surely not? Won't be thinking that again.
Mid field still our achilles heel though. Good thing we are well served in all other positions.

Thing with his penalty is, he kicks it into his left foot. Would that of counted if it did go in? He took 2 touches.

Looking at that Jones gif and seeing his runs through midfield setting up goals I don't think its too over the top to say we are seeing a future star and captain of United.
