Hope all who where jumping on SAF's back after the Chel$ea game are eating humble pie today. When people were saying outlandish things about the man, I stated that he gets most things right and to get off his case. He does what he does because he is the best in the business.

I hope all who did abuse the man remind yourselves how lucky you are when watching the CL final, because if he did things your way, you might not be watching the EPL CHAMPIONS on May 22nd in Moscow!!

Scored the most goals, conceeded the least, despite the smaller margin, this is an improvement on last season, and this team can only go up,

Sweet.

That's #17 in the bag. I never, ever thought that we'd ever get to within 1 title of Liverpool, but here we are. I so want titles #18 and #19, and if they happen, I want us to beat Liverpool for both of them.

I do feel for Chelsea though. Often, the runner up side has some glaring weakness, but the Blues sides of this season and last would have been worth champions in almost any other season. They made United work so hard to win the title, they just never gave up. Respect to Chelsea.

and this team can only go up,
It's a side that doesn't seem to be fully developed. If Anderson can reach the ability and consistency that Scholes had in his prime, this team will be very, very hard to beat.

We had 5 losses, so there's room for improvement.

I was thinking this morning about how I thought Fergie was finished three years ago. But he's just gone on and created another title winning side.

The heart says that Busby was United's greatest manager, but the head says that it's now Fergie.

First of all, congratulations, even if I wanted Chelsea to win the title ;).

They had one weakness, it was that they conceded a ridiculous amount of late equalisers.

When Man U got in front this season they didn't concede the equaliser, Chelsea did.

Yeah. How many times did it happen this season? Three? Four? But is that a mental thing or just sheer bad luck?

But as a team with their structure and players, I don't think Chelsea had any major weaknesses. If the results fell Chelsea's way, we'd all be talking about how brilliant they are and picking apart United to find out where we went wrong.

We did get a 1-0 lead against West Ham at Upton Park. Ronaldo then missed a penalty, and the Hammers got 2 goals to win the game.

I don't think they have any major weaknesses in terms of a playing squad or tactically, but to concede at least three IIRC (Wigan, Villa, Tottenham) has cost them the title.

Well you were playing a bloody good side :D.

I did a search and they also conceded a late equalizer against Everton. But then again, Chelsea were fortunate not to concede equalizers against Boro and United late in the season. Oddly enough, last season, United were criticised for conceding late goals (Wenger had apparantly used it as motivation for his players).

But I reckon that any club could point to any series of results and say that it cost them the title. But over 38 games, things balance out.

I'm not making excuses for Chelsea, United have definitely been the best team in the EPL this season.

All I hope for now is a good CL final, an early goal would be great.

Sad to see we didn't blood any kids to celebrate our season, like Welbeck who Ferguson had on the bench a few times, but watching Campbell as well playing for Hull, its such a bright future at this club, and its not just because we have a final in 2 weeks.

We would still be watching the EPL champs in Moscow, though I wouldnt be cheering for them to win the thing.;)

Watched the game at the Burswood casino, because I dont have fox at home. Worked out well, as the two big screens had Man United vs Wigan and Chelsea vs Bolton on them, and the smaller screens had other sport and the relegation games on them. Pretty good atmosphere, but geez I heard some dumb comments in there.

First massive cheers when Chelsea scored, despite the fact that United were in front, then these classics
"Sheva is worth every penny"
"We can still overcome the goal difference"
"If we win by more then United we win the League"
"Why arent Liverpool on TV?"
"Where is Arsenal??"
"Which one is the Grand Final?"
"Avram is by far more tactically astute then either Mourinho or SAF"
"What has Giggs ever done for United?"

Classic:D:D

Yeah, was slightly bemused to see Saha get a medal.

It probably broke when they put it round his neck.

Not the medal, his neck.

Sweet.

I don't care who we beat for them. A title is a title is a title is a title, and as you say I remember when it was 18-7 and we never looked like getting anywhere near them.

He's won it ten times, he's won it ten tiiiiiiiiiimes
That boy Giggsy, he's won it ten times!

What a fantastic performance overnight! Wigan came right at us and we stood firm.. and ____ it was sweet to see Giggsy come on and score the goal that sealed the title. Also hilarious that Chelski dropped points!

As for beating Liverpool to win our next 2 titles.. they are pretty much guaranteed to finish 4th yet again.. 3rd if they're lucky so that is as good as we will get I guess.

it would be nice if when we win the title to pass Liverpool we could do a double over them and City (why the ____ we can't beat city really does my head in.)
