I don't think I've seen DeMar DeRozen all season, but he has been seriously impressive today, plus he can defend, and jump out of the gym.

Demar has been a shocking defender all year. He just doesnt move his feet on defense, gets blown by really easily by most decent 2's.

He has impressed me lately though. Went off for 37 last out against Houston, now puts in 27 the following game. Hopefully he stays aggressive once Bargnani comes back.

Patty Mills on fire btw. Has matched his career high in points, in everything.

Nah, I like Mooney, but it's quite obvious that he would rather smash someone than kick a goal. That doesn't really bother me, but he doesn't fit the mould you mentioned.

You dont watch enough Raps games, DeRozan is part of the reason why our defense is so bad. Defensively he has no clue, hopefully that will come in time though.

Not even one-on-one? As I said, haven't watched him once this year, but he seems to have the tools be be a decent defender, and certainly looked competent today.

He is decent at getting a weakside block, times his blocks pretty well. One-on-one is where he really struggles though. He has no footwork. When your guarding the top 2 guards, you need to do your work early and get into position to cut off the drive. He doesnt move his feet at all, and as such people blow straight by him.

I havent watched todays game yet, but it sounds like he might have improved a bit. He has the tools to be a good defender, just not the mindset. Or at least he hasnt shown that in his two years in the league.
