Now that we have that locked away what are we to do with it?

it seems to down to:
- Watts
- Rich
- Natanui

Now we can discuss exactly what we want to do with it as after West Coasts win today I don't see us winning another two & bridging the percentage gap.

Watts all the way. Some people want Johnathon Brown at the club, this kid could be the Next J.Brown plus more!

To me it has to be out of rich or watts.

Watts gets my vote because there is no go home factor with him.
Isnt Watts more a Reiwoldt than a Jonathan Brown type?

Yes, much skinnier.

Has played at CHB a fair bit too.

Hell I dont care! If he is as good or better than either of them we are going to have a SUPERSTAR in our forward line. I wanna kiss Woosha and the boys from Subi after todays win :D

I think it has to be Watts doesn't it?

If we take Naitanui I'll do something I'd no doubt regret. He might be a great athlete, but I think he's been massively overrated because of that huge leap. Too much of an unknown.

By most reports, Watts seems to be a better footballer than Rich, and tie in with that the fact that he's a Vic boy, it doesn't seem like a tough decision.

Whilst Watts is a skinny fella, he's got a great mark overhead. Shades of Riewoldt before he was traded. Let's hope he can bulk up and develop a better boot than Roo.

Has to be Watts.

The draft is very rich with midfielders and we should be able to get 2 top flight kids at picks 17 & 18. Standouts like Rich, Hartlett & Ziebell will definately be gone, but other good kids like Zaharakis, Sheahan, Walters, De Boer, Swift, Robinson and others, some of these will go earlier but then we get the pick of the rest, any of them could be superstars.

Watts is the stand-out KP forward by a long stretch

I want us to take Rich but we need Watts.

Rich can kick 20-30 goals a year.

Watts should be on 50-60 in his 3rd year.

We need a forward more than we need a mid.

If Watts has the potential as many posters say then it has to be him for many reasons.

1) Obviously we need a KPP forward (or two).

2) We need an excitement machine who can put bums on seats, preferably a key forward who can take grabs.

3) Our midfield will improve with the benefit of KPP targets up forward.

One of the reasons our midfield has struggled (besides injury and inexperience) is because we have no big markers up forward. An inexperienced midfield such as ours does not have the polish to plant the ball lace out every time for our makeshift forwards. As a result they are holding on to the ball too much and indecision hurts. Sometimes you need to just bang the ball on the boot and put it to a spot. We haven't had the forwards this year who can take big grabs so our midfileders have had no confidence doing this. With a better structered forward line next year and possibly a KPP recruit (who admittedly will not be a star from scratch) our midfiled will look a lot better.

Where is a good source (besides here) to get some info on the top draft prospects??
any video/stats to check out, I have never seen Watts

Check the drafts and trading board, there are plenty of avid followers of this year's draft class on there. There were some videos, very brief videos mind you, on the AFL website.

Well, I think we have to take Watts. I kind of want Naitanui, but I know he isn't the optimal pick for our club. We have a greater requirement for Key forwards currently, and although I have faith in Miller, the same can't be said for Newton. Watts is the most obvious choice.

I'll post up video's of Watts, Rich and Naitanui.

It's only from 1 game, but Watts got best on ground in this game. I was at the game, it was a curtain raiser to our freo game.

Best thing is the pack mark at the end of the video. This was with 30 seconds left, Vic Metro were down by a few points. Takes the mark 35m out, slots the goal to give them the lead then the siren goes.

The Naitanui one highlights his tackling. One of the centre bounces shows his 2nd efforts, with him doing the ruckwork then laying a few tackles.

His kicking isn't as bad as everyone says. The last bit of play is great and his kick is pretty good into the forward line.

As much as i bleed red and blue i would take NAITANUI WITH PICK1 MOULD HIM TO A CHF AND IS THERE ANY CHANCE OF TRADING FOR PICK 2.TO GET WATTS

...
Naitanui will take a lot of work to become anything other than a ruckman, his athleticism is outstanding, but his general gameplay is not fantastic.
Why mould him into a CHF? he will never be as good a KPF as Watts.

There is very little chance of us even considering what it would take to get pick 2, it would probably take something like Brock and our PP to get it for us...

I would like us to take a risk for once also but it seems that the leaning is towards Watts or Rich by most at the moment.

Watts: a forward
Rich: Midfield

They are both great players & we know what to expect, but with Natanui he could be anything & that is the risk, good or bad.

But I don't see anything bad & remember we could always trade him to freo if he is a hack.

Whoever the defender in that last piece of play who goes for mark of the century with two hands in somebody's back is PLEASE DO NOT DRAFT HIM. Most farcical attempt at stopping a high ball into the forward line ever.
