Yeah, Geroge went cheap but that probably gives you an indication of how likely he is to re-sign with the team that trades for him. There's no way Ainge was using assets on a rental.

Must saying it's amusing all the hatred Ainge gets for keeping his picks.

Philly does the same thing and they're geniuses apparently.
The main difference is Philly has been rebuilding while Boston right now just played in the Eastern Finals and should be looking to build on that to 1 Beat the cavs, which with their current roster they can't do but if you add George to that team and I think he's the difference between Eastern Finals loss and Finals Appearance.

What is PG thinking? Good luck getting the ball of Westbrick. You should've learnt from Durant's experience, no self-respecting star would want to go near WB, voluntarily anyway.

So it's different because we're rebuilding and winning games, and philly are rebuilding and losing them?

How does the fact we got Isaiah and Al Horford for a packet of lays change what both teams are doing?

Sixers were never a 50+ win team with a bunch of great value contracts and excess assets.
The 50 win part is irrelevant. Not sure why people keep bringing this up. We've got the assets of a lottery team so we can build like one if we choose. If that means wasting Thomas and Horford than so be it.

And Boston initiated a rebuild in 2013, it's just a lot different to a conventional one. Please don't act like Ainge is going all in with this current team because that's clearly not the case.

George isn't the difference between us beating Cleveland either. That's really ridiculous to think that when they beat us so easily and constantly destroy us on the boards. No point giving up what could be an amazing pick for a guy who won't commit to an extension. He wants to be in LA.

George was never our #1 target.

Funny how PG is all of a sudden some huge difference maker when he couldn't get the Pacers higher than the 7th seed in the weakest conference.

Yet if he comes to us he's taking us past a Cavs team that killed us.
