Watts, NicNat, Rich, Vickery - that should be the top 4.
So, the next best 7 players available, we get one of them (4+7=11).
Now, Hartlett, Ziebell, Sidebottom and Swift are the kind of sliders we'd like at 11.
For that, we need at least 3 others to infultrate the top 11 to allow one of the 4 above to slide to us. You' think Hurley is one, perhaps Johnstone, and hopefully Yarran. Otherwise it needs to be a bolter because otherwise, then, the last of the four might go with pick 10, and we're then looking at Blease, etc.

Blease looked great there. Very Juddy like in his lateral movement and very clean pick ups on the run. He can run himself in to trouble sometime but his pace is quite amazing he just ran through and past a couple of players at will. Hopefully he slides to 18.

Collingwood need to take a quality midfielder with 11. Despite his GF performance i can see Sidebottom sliding to 11 and he could become yet another cult figure at Collingwood.

I had a look over on the Essendon board and a bloke over there seems adamant that they will take Sidebottom at 5.

Seems he knows a bit about Essendon recruiting.

Add another bolter to the top 10, and we could end up with something we thought was out of our reach.

I believe Essendon will go for a KPP.

Swift looks like he's worth the gamble, certainly looks like a star in the making from that U16 footage.

At this stage I'd be happy with one of Sidebottom, Ziebell, Hartlett, Swift or Blease.

Blease is the Small Speedster who Uses the Ball Very Well and Great Tackling and Harrsement. More of a Outside Mid then a Inside Mid but Damage Effect is big with Blease

We pick Lachlan Keefe (i think thats his name) in the rookie draft this year who is something like 200cm or over so he is our ruck prospect so im hoping we go 3 mids/1 back in the draft or 4 mids if we use 5 picks. I really want Hartlett but doubt we will get him.

I have been a huge Swift fan for a while and still am. There are a number of clubs before us who really will consider taking him. North being one and with Voss rating him so highly you'd assume Brissy will too.

If a club pulls the trigger before us it isn't a massive loss as it means a "safer" option will fall to us. Although I think that player would probably be Sidebottom and I am not all that confident on him being the player we all hope for out of this draft.

We need a ruckman IMO, Josh will be 27 next year and with his injuries we're not even guarenteed another 3 years out of him.

I expect Bryan to get delisted at the end of the year and if not- we're in trouble, he is a very average player.

That leaves Wood and the very raw Keefe and whether he makes it or not is unknown. If we take a bigger bodied player this year to compliment the tall, skinny frames of Wood an Keefe then when Josh retires we may finally have a respectable ruck department.

We'll have to take one sooner as when Fraser and Bryan leaves that leaves just Wood and Keefe and you need at least three ruckmen on your list at a time, most clubs have 4. Might as well take one this year and let them develop while Fraser sees out the end of his career.

It has probably been said to death but thats what everyone thought about Ebert last year. Theres also a this 'South Australian sliding curse' going on ever since 2004.

Byron Schammer, Cam Wood and Brad Ebert were all presumed to go to Adelaide in their respective drafts. Schammer at pick 6, Wood at pick 8 and Ebert at pick 10. In fact Sellar was the only one at of those players who Adelaide picked up and he was considered as a big slider.

So in the 2008 draft a big story could be- Hamish Hartlett, touted as a top 7 draft pick...slips to pick 11 where Collingwood makes the steal.

So you can never say never.

You need to understand - Dave doesn't have a source, nor does he claim to have a source.

Somebody else makes up a rumour on another message board, and Dave repeats it hear, saying he has heard a rumour. It's not "untrue", per se, but it is misleading.

Regardless, you just have to accept that from Dave, much as We All Accept That He Uses Capital Letters At The Start Of Every Word, and asks for a link even when people are relating a personal story about something they saw at training.

It's idiosyncratic.
