Club Statement:

In an effort to prevent rumours, the QLD Bigfooty Cricket Authority would like to clear their position on the Frothies Mcveigh signing. Negotiations were close to concluding yesterday afternoon and infact a contract had been signed with the young fast bowler. At 8:55pm, Frothies declared to the cricketing public that he would be joining the QLD side for the 2010 season.

This morning, Kapow!!! from the ‘long forgotten association’ has claimed that they have secured the services of Frothies. To this point in time, QLD has observed no intention from Frothies to join these old farts, but rather remains confident with the signature they claimed from the previous night.

Joshhem was quoted in saying "If Frothies has left us, we wish him the softest of bum cheeks. Signing as a 13th player in a side full of egos is one way to never get a game. We offered Frothies the new ball every week and if he's interested in developing his career QLD is where he should do it."

QLD will not be drawn into any further comment until Frothies clears the air on his contract.

Oi Queenslanders,

Need a few more players for Allies State of Origin squad in the Fantasy Footy League. Any chance we can get some sign ups.

Also, feel free to sign up for the SFA aswell.

I'm glad we've got Frothies, but there was a very similar issues with Froths down in the SFA. Good to know he's at least committing here :)

Hopefully one of these days the competition will kick off.

Just so everyone knows, I'm handing over the captaincy reigns to Cousin Jed from now until the end of March because I'll be hoping around the world and don't know what my internet availability will be like.
I'll still be popping in, but CJ is boss...

Press Release: Gun opening batsmen makes move to Qld

After being devoid of opportunities in his home state, gun opening batsmen Coiler has made the decision to move to Qld to further his promising career. Joining Lion4life at the top of the order and Quiksilvia at 3, Queenslad has perhaps the most feared top 3 in the competition.

Acting captain Cousin Jed acted swiftly to lock up the young bat, even removing the clause that he must drink Bundy from his contract. The move was agreed on by his now teammates, who were willing to overlook this to get the chance to add some star batting power. Legendary Qld fast bowler Skipper Kelly was noted as saying on the signing of Coiler without the Bundy clause "We are ****ing willing to overlook this to get the ****ing chance to add some star batting power"

Coiler will be available to front the press once he has recovered from the team bonding session.

Coiler won't recover. None of us will. We'll have to play the entire season either drunk or hungover..............I vote drunk.:thumbsu:
