Re: Official QLD Thread 2010

No doubt we'll bounce back, we can't play that badly again surely.:o

7 practice sims on mine of this game, we haven't won one yet. Not even when we set 450 to chase in the last innings

Qld sign precocious Young batting talent.

by P Boeruck

In a desperate bid to shore up their test batting lineup, Qld have signed up controversial young player Spikey. Spikey, who originally hails from the north shore of Sydney, came to prominence last year when racy pictures of the young batsmen and Sydney socialite Lauren Bungle, daughter of stalwart Victorian Captain Fred, were released on the internet.

Spikey has scarcely been seen in public since Bungle revealed all the details of their torrid affair in Women's Monthly, following the release of the pictures, and the ensuing breakup.

In a short statement Spikey was said to be "delighted to be given a chance to show my batting skills" and that he "wouldn't let the Qld hierarchy down"

Acting Qld captain Cousin Jed said the signing "gave us the missing piece to convert our sterling one day form into the test arena" and that he had no worries about potential behavioural issues as "when you come to Queensland you are expected to behave badly" citing Reardo44's recent eviction from the Treasury Casino after drunkenly jumping onto the roulette table and Rick18's rumoured dealings with prominent businessmen.

Spikey was expected to be available for the upcoming test against the Golden Allies.

Jeez, that's come from left field. Good news though, Spikey sounds like exactly the kind of bloke we need, a trouble making alcoholic with Tourette's. Welcome aboard Spikey, let's go on a bender to make you feel more at home.

I was meaning to talk to you CJ regarding that incident at Treasury. I know I should have reported it to you earlier but I was embarrassed plus I didn't want to give you any reason to drop me. As you can imagine I was pretty wasted by that time of the night and there was this chick who was grabbing my arm and trying to drag me outside for what I thought was going to be a taxi ride back to her place followed by some pretty wild sex. In my drunken stupor for some reason I thought it would be hilarious to jump on the roulette table and rip my pants off. Apparently it wasn't funny and the chick trying to drag me outside turned out to be Mum who I had phoned earlier to come and pick me up as I'd blown all my cash on the big chocolate wheel. Mum thinks I'm a ****ing lunatic and freezes every time I walk into the room and stares at me like a frightened rabbit while Dad keeps sharpening his knife and smiling at me. Weird shit.:o

Ground is underwater, but the groundsman says thats how he normally prepares the pitch anyway.

Re: Official QLD Thread 2010

Hi guys,

It's at this point in time that I'm going to throw my hand up and ask for some help. I have a new role at work and it's giving me a lot less time to organize bits and pieces like this. Is anyone able to jump in as captain? Don't get me wrong I'm still totally in and will continue to post etc, but the whole picking sides thing is going to be a little hard for me.

As for the side this year, we had close Ro a full list posting last year, so a quick pm to everyone will have this ship up and rolling again in no time. Anyone keen? CJ? Froths?

Re: Official QLD Thread 2010

Joshem, I would volunteer, but cannot guarantee my activity levels. Especially on Saturdays considering my footy committments.

Put me down for a candidate thoug
