The thing with Centre Half Forwards (and I guess all positions but this one in particular) is that a lot of their hard work is getting into good positions and providing an option. The problem is that if he doesn't get into a good position then you won't see him in the action obviously but he was still working hard (just unfortunately on the wrong side of the park).

Sure, this is his bad judgement on his part but he still works hard. If you only watch the game on tv (like with last week or just the radio for me) then you have no hope of seeing this but stay focused on him for 5 minutes straight on a game day and you'll see he's still working hard.

BUT...

Having said that, I think that you can try as hard as you want and still be a shit player. He's not a shit player but not a great player. Hopefully Jurrah and Watts take his spot eventually but they still have to earn it.

Well thank Christ Jamar's back anyway, so we don't have that big gaping hole in our ruck division now, hopefully.

Wheatley played a pretty decent game for Casey last week and I think some extra experience and leadership in the team couldn't hurt. We'll all just have to wait and see how he goes..

While my contempt for Wheatley has been well documented, everybody should be in agreement that Wheatley was horrendous for Casey last week. He turned the ball over a substantial amount of times and had little to no positive impact on Casey's game last week.

Exactly... I remember telling DB about that the other night as well- I suspect I might've been the first one to actually give him this information.

It's a big surprise to see Wheatley in this lineup.

He showed great leadership in the last quarter though.

Why couldn't Bailey bring in Dunn to replace Miller in the forward line, I really don’t understand it, clearly the midfield experiment has failed. So either try him as a permanent forward which was the position he was drafted in and showed promise or delist you F@&%ING knobs!!!!!!!!

Love Johnson being dropped, now he can cost Casey 3 goals a week not Melbourne.

While everyone is jumping for joy at the dropping of Miller I'm not too pleased. Jurrah and Bate make up the forward line with maybe a bit of Stef Martin action thrown in there. Yes Miller has been poor but if you have no one to replace him with (or just won't play Dunn) then he has to stay.

...the Wheatley fiasco's got me beat.
