Not at all, Wellingham has earnt the right before Toovey, ask anyone that has seen Toovey in praccy matches, he has looked shocking, further to that why do we need another HBF when we are developing a great kid in O'Brien? we need mids/wingers ect D1ck and Wellingham should be fast tracked, happy to see Nicholls given a go... but Toovey???

The fact that Toovey is on the senior list and Wellingham isn't may be an issue. Another thing is Wellingham has played 1, maybe 2 (did he play against Richmond) games in the pre-season, and Toovey has played the same if not more.

The image, of Malthouse alone with Wellingham in Narrandera is also something that make you wonder that Sharrod is still developing...he isn't ready for AFL, but Mick shows encouraging signs that he might be a future player.

I was also suprised with Toovey's elevation, however, you say he hasn't done anything this pre-season. At Princes Park he was quite good I thought, and I think some other people on BigFooty (Hoggy?) rated his game quite well also. Which game did you attend and see him not perform?

Tony Shaw said Maxwell may play forward this year, would love to have seen Cox included as well if that is true

I think Maxwell is more suited as a backmen, no doubt, however if match-ups aren't working, he can add to his game as a pinch-hitter in the forward line, like Archer used to (and may still do)

Top three or four I reckon against the Saints.

His first half was exceptional.

All of them... wait and see, wont make it, wont get near it

talk about cynical lol, your shocking.. How can you judge a player on 2 games if that, and i bet you have not even seen him play. Going from under 18s to the AFL is like going from driving scooters to f1, the pace is extreme. Give them time before you close the door. He must have some quality to be playing for collingwood fc this year.. the way you talk he should be playing bush reserves.

You know how you can tell a player sometimes? just don't see it with him, in fact he looks completely out of his depth, and besides, just how many back flankers do we need ffs?

D1ck, Cox and Wellingham on the other hand look fantastic, so it's annoying and perplexing to see Toovey there and not the other three

He is out of his depth, and will be for a good season or 2.. Even natural footballers that have the brain and skill still need big motors to look at home on an AFL football field.. Seriously i dont want to get personal on a internet website, but your so wrong on just about everything you have said its quite sad and i feel sorry for you..

Talks about getting rid of Lockyer and O'Bree and co. now for youngsters, yet doesn't rate youngsters after 2 games for the club,
Just exactly how long do you want this debate to go on for?

I have already stated I rate Nicholls, Cox, D1ck and Wellingham... I don't rate Toovey... big wizz

Are we done yet?

Well you obviously do want to get personal but you chose to be a wimp and say it in a passive aggressive manner so you could still look like the nice guy, handbags are for Geelong supporters princess, we're made of sterner stuff here at Pieland ;)

lol, im trying to throw you a line, the season has not even started yet you want OB sacked, locks sacked now the kids need to be sacked, lol.. Ob is good value in terms of what we would get on return, now you will say, play a kid, ok who, we play the kid in OBs position he gets destroyed we lose one of our main ball winners and get smashed in the midfield each week, next we sack locks, one of our main link ups from the backline, replace him with another kid, the kids gets smashed turns it over and we starting missing out on def rebounds.

SO have lost our best tackler and inside 50 player, not too mention another important play maker, our rebounds are being broken down and our mids are getting cruched because you want to replace working class players for untried kids... yeh your a genious why didnt i think of that, its soo easy..

Wake up and read what I actually said, I was talking about a recruiting philosophy and using certain players as examples only... if the concept is too difficult for you to grasp then just move along without comment princess

And good to see you not getting personal... pfft hypocrite

No its crystal clear you wanted OB and Locks removed from the team, our recruiting policy is the best its been in over 7years, in actual fact (your not worth it but anyway) MM and the team has managed to turn over 50% of the list in just over 2 years hero, thats a very aggressive if not the most aggressive recruiting policy i have ever seen.. recruiting policy lol ffs. princess

sack everyone thats over 28 thats not a star, ****ing idiot.. its a football team not a kindergarden. Everyteam needs and has its fair balence of working class footballers..

Ahahhaaha from "I dont want to get personal" to "****ing idiot"

About time you dropped the act and showed your true frustrated nature, anyone that gets upset over the net really needs to get out and take a deep breath of fresh air

As for your lame attempt at apologising for our recruiting, here it is again princess:

Starting 18 from 2003

Lockyer Presty Clement
R Shaw Wakes Lonie
O'Bree Buckley Woewodin*
Johnson Rocca Didak
Holland Tarrant* Davis

Fraser Licuria Burns

Take out Woey and Tarrant and thats our current team... AFTER 4 YEARS!!!

They weren't good enough then and they are past their best now!!!

lol thats only half the list genius, what do you expect a totally new team over night.

No princess, but I do expect better than a handful of new players in 4 years...
new players that have cemented in that starting 18 I could count on one hand

try comparing that stat with the other clubs

Well you should be crying at that stat but whatever

I'm very hopeful that the new kids of the last 3 years recruiting will form the nucleus of a premiership flag in the future, there has been a necessary emphasis on speed and flair even among the talls we've taken... but anyone hoping that the core group from 03 is going to take us to a flag is deluded

You cant have the few years of dismal recruiting we had prior to that and expect the core group to last forever until we finally get it right, like it or not we started from scratch around 04/05

The reason it is like that is because your philosophy hasn't exactly worked. These 2nd-3rd rounder PLUS, haven't done **** all in the past four years, and/or are still developing.

Here is a list of our departures since 2003:

Rupert Betheras
Glenn Freeborn
Jarrod Molloy
Mark Richardson
Heath Scotland (traded to Carlton)
Ben Kinnear
Mark McGough (COULDN'T CUT IT, MAYBE AT TWO CLUBS)
Steven McKee
Luke Mullins (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Bo Nixon (COULDN'T CUT IT AT TWO CLUBS)
Luke Shackleton (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Richard Cole (traded to Essendon)
Tom Davidson (COULDN'T CUT IT, MAYBE AT TWO CLUBS)
David King (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Matthew Lokan (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Billy Morrison (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Brayden Shaw (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Andrew Williams
Shane Woewodin
Blake Caracella
Cameron Cloke (COULDN'T CUT IT, F/S)
Jason Cloke (DID SOME OKAY THINGS, F/S)
David Fanning (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Brent Hall (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Adam Iacobucci (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Chad Morrison
Julian Rowe (COULDN'T CUT IT)
Chris Tarrant
Tristen Walker (COULDN'T CUT IT)

All those players who couldn't cut it are players who we would get for O'Bree according to you...2nd-3rd round draftee, hell, in some case first-round.

Here is a list of 2nd+ rounders who have stayed on the list 2001-04:
Dane Swan
Heath Shaw (F/S)
Sean Rusling
Travis Cloke (F/S)

****...amazing...TWO OFFICIAL (F/S don't count!)

Wheras, the same thing would have been said about O'Bree and Tarks, however they still remain valuable to the club and inside the best 22.

There is some research!

02/03 national drafts killed us, the list reads like a who's who of duds except for Heater

Lokan King C Cloke Shakleton Nixon B Morrison B Shaw Hall H Shaw Rowe

This has created an enormous hole in the list, now I happen to think Hine has solved our selection problem at the draft table from 04 onwards, but what do you do about the gaping hole in the list?

There are two ways to go, hang onto the core group of 02/03 as long as possible and hope you can fast track the kids from 04/05/06

The problem with this method of course is the core group of 02/03 are taking their places on the list and in the team

The other method is the philosophy I outlined, which certainly would not have included arbitrarily trading anyone over 28, a measured assessment would have hung on to Bucks Burns Presty Clement Rocca and Licca, but the players that had enough currency to garner a late 2nd or 3rd round pick should have been traded, their best is behind them and they are stopping the recruitment and development of the youth we sorely need to fill that gap and I have enough confidence in Hine to have scored a few pearls with those picks

Whats your point, i know our recruiting up until 04-05 has been nothing short of pathetic, that problem looks to have been addressed and is now OLD news.
This has nothing todo with your previous posts about sacking players left right and center, it appears you have tried to manipulate the arguemtn to suit your own agenda.

You will also find if we are any chance of premiership success that alot of the 03 side and its draftees from that year will still be scatted throughout the list, even though our drafting has been pathetic you will find the team already has a strong nucleus and has done a major u-turn based on 03 and before this sides foundations where starting to be laid.

Fraser
Didak
Davis
Johnson
Lonie
R.Shaw
Richards
Swan
Maxwell
H.Shaw

thats 10, from 03, so your theory is flawed in a big way. Its laugable.

Christopher Egan
Sean Rusling
Travis Cloke
Benjamin Davies
Heritier O'Brien
Dale Thomas
Scott Pendlebury
Danny Stanley
Ryan Cook
John Anthony
Sam Iles
Alan Toovey
Daniel Nicholls
Shannon Cox
Ben Reid
Nathan Brown
Chris Dawes
Brad ****
Tyson Goldsack
Chris Bryan
Sharrod Wellingham
Brent Macaffer
Martin Clarke

What did you say a handful. Your either stupid or very stupid. Add Medders to that list too.
