I'd be happy to do Warnock + 3rd round for a 2nd round.

What I've picked up from those Barry Prendergast and Tim Harrington vids is that there are about 4 levels to this draft that are really even: 1-4, 5-9, 10-30, 30+. There is still a bit of quality in that second round, but after that it drops off to speculative picks. I'd be looking to get as many picks as we can into that under 30 band, so our trades should be pick upgrades, rather than new picks.

I'd be happy with that for Warnock. In all honesty I think he's been a decent battler for us but we don't need him anymore & we will take peanuts to help him out to get wherever he wants to go. TBH, I'd take Adelaide's 2nd for Warnock & our 2nd, which is pick 35 for pick 36 & Warnock

But as for top 30 picks, you realise our 2nd round pick is pick 36? The 2nd round starts at pick 31, so effectively you're saying we need to load up on first round picks.

I think we should be aiming to end up with 3 picks in the top 40 (worse case top 50) & only use those minimum 3 picks.

Even more interesting is that we clearly have a few irons in the fire as to bringing other players in to the club this year. Obviously he can't give too much away but I'm interested to hear over the coming days who we are targeting.

Crouch sounds like a good get. Victorian as well, no go-home factor there. I could picture O'Meara getting home sick. Moving away as a 17 year old will be tough on the young lad and he'll miss home, as I assume whoever gets their hands on him this year will want him training with them next year.

I'd say that's where it's at, and the players we are interested in from other clubs will be more role players than anything. I saw Setanta wants out so who knows, maybe we think he could fill a gap for a year or two to help the others develop.

We may do deals that see Warnock go to another club for a pick which we then on trade for a player elsewhere. Either way it's good to hear that we may be more active in trade week than we have been in years.

sounds good to me, it's a long way for O'meara to move at such a young age, they tell me Crouch is gun, you would think with GC in the box seat to get the WA kid that we would probably have our eye on Crouch.

They are on our list but can't play in AFL until the year they turn 19, so I pretty sure they can.

I still rate him as a footballer. I think he has just horribly miss used under Bailey and co. He's not a KPF, but he has the mody and thus mobiliby of one.

Needs to loose some kg's and turn into a more mobile 3rd tall.

Lisle is a late 50's pick from 2008 that has played 5 games... Bate for Lisle is a good del for the hawks, if they wanted him.

He has gained recognition over the past 4-6 weeks imo, I would bank both compo picks for him without thinking at this stage. Maybe trying to offer pick 12 instead of one of them, but we could get Greene or similar this season with that pick and have our midfield sewn up with Crouch and Viney in 2012....damn that would be nice
