defender Mitch Duncan is drawing interest from clubs as a development/asst coach. The
@WestCoastEagles
are among those keen to add his expertise. Would be a non-playing role. Duncan's originally from WA - also has strong family ties in Geelong area.

If it's solely a non playing role then I can't see him uprooting his whole family across the country anymore. Assume he'd be more interested in a Vic based club.

He is from WA originally, so he would already have a family/friend support network

Dunno if he'd go for this but if he was a development coach would absolutely love for him to play at WAFL level. Would be outstanding there mentoring on-field, preventing structural breakdowns like on the weekend and giving someone for Grego, Gross, Allan etc to lean on mid-game.

Other clubs (obviously due to age profiles but also better management) regularly have 1-2 players who are pushing/past 30 + have a lot of AFL experience but aren't top line anymore playing in their 2s. With our situation I'd argue having Duncan at that level giving us that would add as much or more to what he'd add as a coach throughout the week. Only for his first year obviously before transitioning into a purely off-field role.

Assistant coaches at the blues left tin limbo.

Who is worth the phone call that suits us and might come

Who was the better coach - Clarkson or Voss?
Did Voss have Buddy , Roughead ,Rioli , Hodge and Burgoyne etc playing for him.. Sometimes having elite players can make coaches, see Clarkson’s coaching record at North in a team loaded with first round picks , he looks incompetent Voss has out coached Clarkson 2 yrs in a row if you forget his early coaching history and judge on the recent years with similar team lists ..

You want me to look up Carlton’s AFL and VFL record for that period? Hard pass.

I was just pointing out your “he was sacked after one year” contention was off by about four years.
I said parted company after one year. Which bit of parted didn't you understand. Parted can be by mutual agreement as what happened with Simmo.
