Couldn’t care less that Richmond players were there. Had a huge win, got a longer break from a fri night game
No dramas what so ever especially if they were celebrating Broadys engagement with his family and friends in WA.

Woulda thought it would have been a bigger scandal given the incestuous nature of cougar and tigers relations

WA is at a higher rate of infection given we opened up later; fair to say if one of those players caught COVID and half your team came down with it, causing you to lose against Collingwood, you'd be far less accommodating. It's not a hanging offence, but it's silly to put yourself at risk given what is at stake for most football clubs.

Of course, nothing is at stake for the Eagles this season now, so no harm, no foul. If anything, my biggest enjoyment has been watching WAFL players have a crack.

The problem is they were all in really close proximity to one another when they piled into that cubicle. Lots of droplets to be shared when four of you are all squeezed in there like that.

I reckon if they'd gone in one at a time they would have been fine.

West Coast Eagles club statement

The West Coast Eagles have today fined each of the seven players who breached club protocols by attending a Leederville nightclub $5000 – with half of that amount suspended.
West Coast Eagles Chief Executive Trevor Nisbett met the playing group and informed them that players would be penalised.
Defenders Jackson Nelson and Josh Rotham, utility player Jake Waterman, Supplementary Selection Period recruits Hugh Dixon and Patrick Naish, and youngsters Campbell Chesser and Rhett Bazzo were all at the nightclub the evening after West Coast’s 109-point loss to Richmond.
Rotham, Waterman and Naish played in the loss to Brisbane last Saturday night, while some of the players could not be considered because they entered AFL Health and Safety Protocols.
The Eagles required Covid Contingency List players Jake Florenca (South Fremantle) and Declan Mountford (Claremont) to make the trip with only 21 fit and healthy AFL-listed players available.

East Perth midfielder Angus Schumacher and WAFL Eagles utility player Logan Young also travelled as emergencies.
“Given the club’s protocols and current circumstances it was irresponsible and disrespectful for those players to attend a nightclub,” Nisbett said.
“After completing our investigation, we have decided to fine each of the players who broke specific club and player guidelines.

"We will continue to educate our players and those who transgressed will now need to regain the trust and respect of their teammates as well as everyone else at the club.”
The club considers the matter closed and will make no further comment.

This is just another dumpster fire in a long line of fires going back 25 years. Great video.

Drugs, fights, drunk driving, abuse, cheating… too bad no one got murdered because then you’d have Eagles Bingo!

Most of that negative stuff isn't anywhere near as remembered as premiership wins.

It's absolutely time for new blood at the eagles and Nisbett is well past his UBD.

That said, which of the dumpster fires you listed has your club not had over the years? Most clubs have had each of those scandals in their lifetime. Plenty of clubs have had much much worse.
