Would anyone here like our coach? I'll let him go at a REAL LOW price. I hate him, I hate what he's done to my players and the club in general.
1) He's overtrained the boys. History will show that we don't start successful seasons well. Last year we were overtrained, and the result was the second half season collapse. This year, KJ devised an even tougher pre-season, and it's showing. When high-profile (and highly respected) personalities, and the former VFL-footballing fathers of current players predict it at the beginning of the season, you know you're in trouble.
2) Related to 1). He continually 'plays' unfit players. There is no point selecting them if they can only play a quarter.
3) He uses the interchange as a punishment far too readily, and gives certain players (#7, #14...) only limited oppotunities. They are players who can turn a game off their own boot if you let them (imagine if Farmer had been left on the bench today), and at least always attract a top defender.
4) It's never his fault when we lose. I hate that in a coach.
5) He's driving away our players. He doesn't 'get on' with Scotty, so it's rumoured he'll be traded. He doesn't treat Fraser well, it's rumoured he'll leave. He does not respect our players for what the are, and some of them deserve quite a bit. So it's no wonder Braun, Morrison and others are suddenly getting homesick, and others either have, or are planning to retire.
6) He's invisible 99% of the time. It took him weeks to make his first appearance as our coach. I know MM wasn't exactly a man of the people, but KJ's ridiculous.
In short, my club has a lot of problems to work through. There are problems off the field, almost everywhere except memberships and money (Ironic really hey Cats & Kangas?), which is leading to problems on the field. It all started when Brian Cook left because of the Indian Pacific/WAFC struggle for control of the states 'best' sporting team. He's been followed by a number of the administration, and it's really starting to show.
The coach does not respect the players or the club in general, and in return the players don't respect him. They ALWAYS had respect for Mick, whether they liked him or not, and consequently did as he said.
Judge is on a power trip, and will destroy what's left of the club if we don't get rid of him. (Sorry, a little meladramatic) But he's brought in all his own staff, who have taken the place of Eagles stalwarts. The $1mil he was given to 'play' with seems to have inflated his ego. Everything is changing, too much, too soon. It would appear tradition means nothing at our corporation.
OK... this is going a bit far. But we just LOST TO PORT for Christ's sake! Surely you understand my depression? Port played like sh!t, and we were worse.
So a plea to Essendon; Please make it as painless as possible
We're nothing without Cousins, Wirrapunda, Banfield, Cummings, McIntosh, Braun, Pe Matera, McKenna, White and Gehrig. None of them are fit -despite what KJ thinks. Oh and add our first 'real' ruckman to that list too! Just when things couldn't get worse....
Any thoughts from Hawk fans? Any takers on the original offer? Maybe I'll pay you....
*On a serious point, I can only see more and more reason for bigger squads to be reintroduced.
