Was a very likeable chap Tommy Hafey. I grew to like him more in 1979 & then again in 1981, after despising him following the '73 GF.

Seriously though, he was a quality coach at Richmond & did really well to get some ordinary Collingwood teams into GFs. He probably should have called it a day after the Collingwood gig, but no doubt he was offered some good coin to coach Geelong & a vulgar amount to coach Sydney.

Tommy was and will always be a true legend of the game. What a team he moulded at Richmond - not that I appreciated some of their finals tricks. His achievement to take Collingwood from wooden spoon to drawing in a GF in 1yr was remarkable. I know/remember how he used to call every player in the team the night before the game - do you think any coach does that nowadays. Pre mobile days remember so everyone was supposed to be home

With a weapon? A glass maybe?

Sorry to it to be any player being this stupid but somewhat relieved it hasn't been one of ours for some time now.

This won't do Greene's career any favours. Silly boy.

How disappointing for the Club. Really nightclubs should be off the agenda during the players break plus they did not play well against WCE.
Sorry, but I disagree.

These are grown men. They should be able to, and trusted to, have a night out without assaulting people....just like every other grown man. A blanket ban on nightclubs is not the answer. Holding people accountable for their actions as a deterrent for this sort of behaviour is necessary and will have more of an impact.

MEB I agree with you in part of him being a grown up and should be able to conduct himself properly in a public place but as we know with footballers and alcohol don't go together. I don't expect him to be home tucked up in bed but he is a professional athlete and he has a responsibility to himself and the club.

That's an enormous generalisation. Alcohol and some footballers don't go together, just as alcohol and some other people don't go together.

First and foremost he has a responsibility to himself and society. The sooner we stop holding footballers to a different standard than we do the general population, the better.

Nightclub? It's Zagames. A family hotel/restaurant in Caulfield.

Nightclubs shouldn't be/can't be off the agenda. Stupidity and violence should be off the agenda though.

If guilty definitely not getting the Marley Williams result.

Another two lives (potentially) screwed properly.

There just has to be more to it. That's just insane.
