Geez we cop a hiding on the Main Board...I thought it was a troll free area... you'd think Carlton had won every Premiership since 1995 the way people carry on..
its disappointing trying to have intelligent convos on the main board when all they ever want to do is knock carlton

Delisted Crow Nick Joyce content with God on his side
The 19-year-old quoted a passage from the Bible - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - on Twitter on Thursday night.

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus," Joyce tweeted.

The left-footer, who grew up on a farm in Wandearah, is an outgoing member of the Adelaide Christian community.
He has the hashtag "#Jesus" on his Twitter profile, regularly tweets about his faith and featured on the front cover of RISE Magazine earlier this year.

When does Carlton release its annual report?

We have several clubs already showing up some terrific results so the heat will be on for us to come up with something similar.
Richmond recording a 3 mil profit is an outstanding result for them.
Also, attendances were generally down this year but our average crowd dropped by 7K per match while Hawthorn's went up by 2.5K

Just can't see a great result forthcoming at this stage.

"A lot of it is my fault from the times I have been in trouble, but it's funny that the time I actually didn't do anything wrong was the time I got the a---,'' Connors says.
"It wasn't as if I went out on the piss and got drunk and belted someone or was pissed the night before training.
Seems this guy still believes his own crap.
It would be quite a leap of faith should we trust this guy enough to recruit him.

It's well documented (another statement this year as CFC coach) that Mick Malthouse enjoys giving people a second, even third chance.

It's entirely possible we may see a left-field recruiting move to offer such a chance.

Anyone else peeved off about the report in todays paper saying that if Adelaide are penalised next year they can still participate in free agency?
When we got belted by the AFL we werent even allowed to trade into the first 2 rounds of the 2003 draft. So if our best player had requested a trade we would have to trade him for another player (and noone wanted to come to Carlton) or we could only accept a 3rd round pick. This is just unfair. Apparently restraint of trade is the excuse yet that wasnt an issue then.

So the Crows
Withdraw their top two picks
In a clear attempt to penalise themselves this draft when their picks are horrible anyway as opposed to next year when they will likely have far better picks.

To add on top of that they will be able to partake in F/A next season even if they do lose picks, which of course Carlton wasnt alllowed to trade players for picks better than 3rd rounders, but Adelaide can free agent whore themselves however they like.

If the AFL don't go, thanks for taking yourself out of this draft but we're still takign away your picks for the next TWO years then i will be furious.

Make of this what you will but having spoken to a few people who are close mates with the two of them, I get the impression Martin is the worse of the two.
I'm not opposed to giving a guy a second chance but after having a look at the GVFL thread Connors was pretty disappointing at that level by the sounds of it..
