Also would kind of explain why Essendon went so hard in the first game... roid rage is a terrible thing
that game stuffed us with 4 significant injuries & momentum loss..THIS IS PATENTLY UNFAIR IF EFC WERE ON ROIDS OR other PED's..and proved a significant disruption to our season a/f being premiership favourites leading into the 4th round

i think Caro has been lied to by the EFC power execs http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/dream-teams-nightmare-20130205-2dwkc.html ..SHE'LL BE LIKE A DOG WITH A BONE & HOPE SHE GETS ALL THE FACTS OUT

STILL..i don't see them getting away with this as ignorance is not an excuse[if it was that]..

but more likely the signing of waivers [legal documents designed for a cover-up..&/or..avoid a legal action by individual player/s in the future..IS A MORE PLAUSIBLE EXPLANATION..and an acknowledgement of guilt..
the link now with the Australian Crime Commission & organized crime is also highly suspect & illegal

Early call but taking what we have into account and thinking I know how the AFL work.

1. No Essendon player will be suspended due to the fact of no knowledge of what they were taking, even though they should have.
2. Either Hird or Thompson will have to go and possibly both.
3. CEO may also have to go along with The President on grounds of the club need to be seen to needing a clean sweep.
4. Essendon will cop a hefty fine but not necessarily precluded from any future drafts.

Most of it will be out of the AFL's hands. ASADA really won't take ignorance as an excuse.

Leaving the club to take injections, organized crime to obtain the drugs, signing waivers, how the hell did they ( the club) not know this was going on? Game into disrepute...

I have to disagree Harks I think Essendon are in for dark times...

Having said that nothing has been proven

This is just what we do through these early stages BQ.
We put one and one together and get ten. Our natural tendencies are to push things to the out-most limits and then have to reason with the real facts when they come to hand.

Yeah, we said that about Adelaide and where did that end up.
We also had Melbourne in the biggest trouble of all time and that's quite unlikely now, also.

WADA is a big ticket body and won't go easy, but none of us here really know what has happened and the EFC have now had at the least 3 months to take up all the facts.
What do we think may have happened at the meet with the AFL yesterday?

Yeh we did say that about Adelaide but that was salary cap issues, this isn't some of this will be out the afl's hands....

I'd say EFC knew about this for ages and where hoping it would go away, they discovered the media where about to bust it open, and they crapped themselves ran to the AFL and had a 'panicky' media conference...end of they day we dont know diddly squat whats gone on, nothing has been proven however the media conference perceived some type of guilt...

The techniques are the most incredible, off site injections, signing waivers and organized crime gangs, thats damaging

Anyway it doesn't bode well, and nothing has been proven

Couldn't help but wonder if Ian Robson had been practising his 'serious' face prior to the press conference yesterday...seemed to be working very hard on maintaining an incredibly concerned look.

No speculating/guessing players names thanks folks !!!!!!!!!!!!

PLAYERS have been repeatedly forced to miss matches because of serious breaches of the league's controversial illicit drug policy.

AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou confirmed to Patrick Smith of The Australian yesterday that the policy had been used to ban players from participating in premiership matches but he said he did not believe confidentiality of any individuals had been compromised.

"Club doctors would tell the coach or the football manager that a certain player was not in a condition to play,"

JOBE Watson keeping his Brownlow Medal is under threat if he is found guilty among Bombers players for using banned substances last year.

It is believed that as few as only four Bombers players refused to be involved in the process and to sign forms waving off responsibility to Essendon as a club.
