Here is what I find to be the sad reality. I asked Lucas Walker, Melbourne Tigers swingman who has played college ball in the US, what he thought as a fan and as a player

Lucas Walker
@Lucaswaxy

@Wickzki as an Essendon fan, it doesn't phase me. As a pro athlete I'm not surprised. I'm sure it happens in all sports around the world

Maybe but why have the media conference and stand down the fitness guy, still some questions
That happens all the time Bluesque.

Not saying that they didn't do something NQR, but the way we've put one and one together may again teach us a lesson. Actually for the sake of the sport, I hope it does.

Marc McVeigh, the bloke with the nice cushy little job on the worlds least watched panel show on Fox???

He won't be putting his new job at risk.

Let ASADA sort it out, that's their job.

Summary of the McVeigh interview on SEN

- McVeigh saying he knew everything he took was okay.
- Players asked for a consent form from the club that WADA and the AFL code would make sure that everything was above board, rather than the players waiving rights.
- The doctor has said it was fine according to McVeigh.
- Based on the signed consent form, everything should be 100% legal.
- Taken off-site to a sterile room.
- Only injections that McVeigh had was a Vitamin C or Vitamin B injection.
- GHRB-6 is apparently bulltish - was the first McVeigh had heard of it.
- Reimers just a load of crap apparently - 'If you didn't know you were probably asleep in the meeting, and Reimers probably was.'
- Believes a lot of it was unclear and untrue as reported.
- Club doctor - Doc Reed - saying they have checked it and it's all fine.
- McVeigh believes that the players and the club will be cleared.
- McVeigh believes the organised crime links are surprising, and doesn't know any more about it.
- Hasn't spoken to Jobe Watson

Taken from the Main Board...

Still too many unanswered stuff, McVeigh aaid everyone, knew the coach the board etc

In the media conference they said we only heard of this stuff yesterday, so ....

Still dont get the consent form, the problem maybe that the supplements they took weren't.

Ditto. Who needs the grey hair?

Glad to have been sitting in the sun today enjoying my clean club than to have to taking calls from people wishing to rub it in..

Of course ASADA will work through it and it will make for interesting times over the next few.........whatever.

That's what doesn't make sense to me, players get injections out on the ground during games and in the rooms etc. They aren't exactly sterile environments. So why would they need a sterile environment for a vitamin B injection?

Something still smells here.

Of course Spike McVeigh will come out and deny illegal use of substances, he would support the club to the hilt cos he was there for 14 years. Why would he admit otherwise?

If I were a Bomber supporter, I wouldn't feel any more confident after hearing McVeigh come out and say that, surely they aren't naive enough to believe that Spike would admit they took banned substances?

Not yet, anyways.,,

I certainly hope this goes away for the AFL's sake and assuming that probability dictates it would occur at more than just one club.

Nevertheless, McVeigh's interview was a complete waste of time.

"Disgruntled" Reimers vs. "Brainwashed" McVeigh - Big deal...

The biggest queries revolve around why consent was required for a completely legal substance and why an excessively sterile environment was required >> Injections occur at sporting grounds on an incredibly frequent basis - we are yet to see a player out with 'blood poisoning' or whatever it may be after getting a jab after rolling an ankle.

Ok so I am meant to beleive that McVeigh knows more than EVERYONE else at the EFC.

Essendon ask to be investigated because they have no idea what was going on.

Gee, Essendon could have just asked McVeigh before they called a press confrence and asked the AFL to investigate.

Simply just doesn't add up.

LOL at the Dons supporters on the main board thinking this is a get out of jail free card!
