We got hammered by Port.

Some of the players who we are expecting to improve may well be doing that.

DVR is incrementally believing in himself. He is definitely showing more intent and finally using his left boot rocket-launcher to damage.

KJ presented at both ends. Can mark, kicking all over the place though. He's at a crossroad - possibly in his head - I hope you lot are appreciating some of the metaphor slaughter here.

Cuningham
is neat, fast and kicks ok. Played a lot in the middle and looked energetic and skilled.

Plowman was solid. Plays like a modern Michael Sexton. Loved his defensive punch aways. A reliable, running backman with nice foot-skills - any takers? Really impressed by him.

Sumner has class.

Jones took another VFL MOTY and kicked a few. I got nothing to add here.

Loved Josh Fraser's 1/4 time spray to Galluci "21 minutes of game time? Get off the ******* ground and do your rotations like everyone else". Hilarious, although you do wonder what's going on in the box if the players are calling the cycles.

Wood played really well, lots of rucking to our advantage. Still don't get the hate really. His follow up work was excellent today.

Glass-McCasker is a likely type. Loved the occasions where he just took off and kept going. May not have received the ball back but we need to see more of the batch running which was out there today. I get the feeling the NBs and Carlton are actually looking in the same direction for a change. Plowman's resting after half-time another sign of this. He will play AFL this month I'm tipping.

I ate 2 pies and consumed 2 pretty nice lattes although $5 a coffee seemed a bit steep.

One negative was me dropping my wallet at the coffee machine spilling coins all over the place. Who bends down to help me pick them up? Big Harry Mck. Pretty sure I heard a bone go crack as he straightened up. Sorry guys.
What of Jack? Did he not play? Form? Injury? Speak to me!

Plowman sounds impressive. How far away from seniors would he be?

Heard a while back Glass-McCasker was a bit iffy by foot............is that right??

Has to be considered now. Our back 6 holds Sydney to a losing score he stays out. Otherwise it will only be match fitness the issue.

Pretty sure that was directed toward Kerbatieh (#3).

NB membership is now $30. Still value and I got one today.
****, good tip.

Bought a family membership last year for $30 I think. Darn.
I get my port membership for 30 for being a country member but opt to pay the full 60 anyway.

It's good using that for free home games and the Carlton membership for the game at Preston... Win-win

Your time management skill is awesome. How do you fit in the gardening?

Sorry if it's been discussed, as I haven't seen it anywhere, but what's people's thoughts on the Mumford 'tackle'?
Personally I'm a bit surprised that it's firstly being called a tackle when it's obviously a shirt front. Secondly, that it's being lauded in the media at a time that a young player has had to prematurely pull the pin on his career due to concussion, and lastly, that it's not (that I'm aware of) being looked at by the MRP and didn't even garner a free kick.
I get that it's a contact sport and you can't help freak accidents, but this has all the hallmarks of a suspension. Don't think you could say he had eyes for the ball, he left the ground, it was reckless, high contact, high impact, and the player was concussed and had to helped from the ground.
Add to that comments that Mummy has previously made in the media where he has stated that he's always trying to hurt someone, and I find it quite disgusting. 4-6 weeks in my eyes.
I've already seen varying opinions around the traps, but was curious what others thought on here.

Did he actually collect him high or was it just that Duncan hit his head on the turf?

I've only seen it a couple of times but I didn't have a problem with it (assuming the contact itself wasn't high).

Mummy didn't turn side on and put the shoulder through him like he could have. Chest on chest contact in a contact sport.

I didn't see Mumford hit him high concussion was from the ground impact tackle it's self was fully legal from a technical stand point just a hard tackle.

If it got looked at and he got weeks it would have to be because he did something wrong with the tackle and if that's the Case we lose tackling in the sport.

If I have in fact missed the high contact then he should be punished for the high contact.

I wish we had 22 on field blokes that hit as hard as Mumford and shared his enthusiasm for a proper hit - mongrel factor is a necessary requirement for success in a contact sport.

Am I wrong?

I guess I'm in the minority on this one, which is fine, but looking at the various angles from the link the MEB posted in the MRP thread, his head never hits the deck, so he must cop him high in the 'tackle'. Either that, or he fainted when he saw Mummy charging at him...

Not necessarily. You get hit hard enough and it can "rattle " your brain with absolutely no head contact
