Ok your tips for the NBA/NBL championships......

NBA i say Utah and Lakers wll always be around there but im gonna go tip the Kings in a shock.

NBL: Perth, Adelaide, Titans and Townsville will be the last 4, cant see wollongong and the sydney kings doin anythin. I say the titans will be favs, but i still have belief the 6ers will put it together

Lakers over Philadelphia in the NBA. It's well known the NBA is scripted and with ratings down, the NBA isn't going to let a small market team reach the finals and ruin their biggest event of the year for their advertisers. Besides, the NBA is doing everything it can to make LA a basketball town while there's no pro football team there. They even talked about putting a THIRD team in that city

Hmm interesting one. No option in the the NBL Perth Wildcats all the way, no one has as much talent. Prolly beat the 36ers in straight games.

NBA is much more perplexing. Any one of 5 teams could win it. Portland, Lakers, 76ers, Kings or the Jazz could hold the trophy up.
But im going with the Portland Trailblazers over the Philadelphia 76ers in 6 games.

Thats my hunch!

I know Dikembe is a great player, but how many years has he got left in him?? Ratliff was also an ALL STAR and was playing real well for Philly, so i am just shocked. And for KUKOC, the bulls should have tried to pick him up !!

And also Jackson didnt even last a whole season in Toronto even though he was like averaging 8.5pts, 9.3 assists a game!

I dont think Vince will be happy.

nba... shyte.. tough one here... really hoping the 76ers pull it off... but, i think by seasons end, iverson will have that many bandages/pads/braces on, his body wont hold up... the guy plays through so many injuries! frickin awesome tho....

yeah, the mutombo trade was weird... theo the rattler was leading the league in blocks, better offensive player, and young, not entering his prime yet... mutombo only has a few yrs left... but, still incredible rebounder and intimidator... i read that he could be much older than he is actually listed as... but, with mutombo, they are a real threat to the teams with big muthas, like shaq, duncan/robinson, webber, malone, rasheed wallace...

from the east... i think portland will get thru... too much talent, and too deep, cause too many matchup problems.. they'll bowl the lakers over... and, will finish the sixers off too...

but, i hope for a sixers / kings finals.. that would be highly entertaining...

QT - yeah im a little baffled by the Philly trade. Ratliff was going to be a star and still so young. I think the big wigs in Philly believe they need someone big to hold off the big men in the West. Shaq Duncan Robinson Divac Sabonis Wallace, they need someone to defend them and if Ratliff had a weakness it was prolly his D.

I didnt get the Jackson trade either, Jackson is undoubtably the best decision maker in the NBA and is the 4th all time assist man in history. Vince wont be happy and watch out for a trade at the end of the year.

Coxon - good call on the Blazers they are definitly my tip for the West. They go so deep and cause so many matchup problems. With so much individual talent (Pippen, Smith, Stoudamire, Wallace, Kemp, Sabonis, Wells) they still manage to play as a team.

Blazers and 76ers for me. So hard to pick, should go 7 games.
