Why would we engineer a trade to hand pick nine to Sydney for the 27 year old O'Keefe?

Tim Morrissey must have read that in his tea leaves this morning and decided to put it in his article.

No club would be dumb enough to trade pick nine for O'Keefe.

We'd keep pick nine if we were lucky enough to get it in a trade.

And journalists criticise forums for what is posted.

They get their ideas and leaked info from reading football sites.

That "journalist" probably read the posts or threads that linked Murphy to the Roos for pick nine and Corey Jones.

I'd only take O'Keefe if the price is right, and that we don't have to give up our selection #6. At 27, how Sydney can think they will be compensated with a high first round pick is beyond me.

Cant see the Club getting anything better than another second rounder for anything else on our list that the club is likley to give up (i.e. Thornton, Fisher, Carrots).

If Sydney are adamant about a 1st rounder for ROK (and TBH I havent seen enough of him play to even know if thats worth it to any club) then odds are he wont be playing with the Blues.

That one decision could make a lot of difference. I for one believe it would be a foolish decision that smacks of desperation.

Yeap, you're right. It is going to make a lot of difference. Either way we'll be getting a player that improves our list. And before you ask, yes I believe O'Keefe will still be playing good football by the time our next premiership comes about.
