Would anyone have a clue how to find the source of a video on the AFL websites video centre. I usually view source and look search for 'mp4' but the AFL website hides the extension names through their script. I've played around in source and am at my end

Do what you are doing by searching for .mp4 files (in the Network tab in Chrome), but use the "Toggle device toolbar" feature in the top left corner of the developer window.

You should now see the website in a resized space in the left hand side of the screen, now where it says "Responsive", click on it and press "Nexus 5X", and press F5 to reload under the new settings.

Do the search again for mp4 files and they should pop up.

Basically you need to emulate the AFL videos website as a phone to be able to extract the videos out of them.

Anyone have a clue on Download Full Match Replays with AFL Live Pass from 2012-2017? (I can get 2010/2011 to work fine with DownloadHelper).

I've Heard that you can use "Adobe HDS / HLS Video Saver" to convert and save the streams and use DownloadHelper to get the link for each game/QTR

That's a good tool, thanks for that

Trying this method to get links for current games for the code, Have had success getting videos off the AFL websites main page such as:

http://www.afl.com.au/video/2017-03-19/aflw-rd7-magpies-v-crows-q1
http://www.afl.com.au/video/2017-11-18/aus-v-ire-second-test-q3

However havent been able to get a link for a home & away game working
Is the structure of the URL for games the same as above?
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction

Here is a link to a game from 2017:
http://bponlinewoc6264.ngcdn.telstr...-08-12_10-32-33-7283/output_2400kbps_720p.mp4
or alternatively
http://203.36.101.52/Telstra/AFL-We...-08-12_10-32-33-7283/output_2400kbps_720p.mp4

Unfortunately it is hard to trace down matches from 2013- because of all the random numbers within the URL.
You can find games from 2010-2012 pretty easily though because there are no random numbers within the URL, for example:
http://203.36.101.52/Telstra/AFL-We...d23/AFL12_rd23_ess_vs_coll_4th_qr_full_2M.mp4

Thanks dude, been able to master pre 2013 however haven't quite worked out how to do post 2013. Ive tried getting the direct links to quarters by using the method of obtaining a link from the websites code when playing a video. However because the afl website treats the replay videos differently (Needing a life pass to play the video) i cant get to a page with a game replay to access the code. The URLs having random numbers seems to make it impossible to guess aswell..

Found this, list of links from 2002-2011, probably from the old website that used to have the links to all these games before it went down.

That was from footygames76.net.net before it was taken down.

Now VLC is acting strangely, just before leaving on Christmas holidays, i opened the link, and the game started up straight away. now, when i put in the very same link, it appears that nothing is happening at first, then after 2 minutes of sitting there doing nothing it finally opens the game, plays it for 30 seconds, before closing it again. I tried this on two computers, and the same thing happens on both. Furthermore, I tried the same link in GOM player and it opened instantly and worked perfectly. This wouldn't be a problem except you can't download from GOM player. Anyone else having this problem?

also, two slightly unreleated issues:
This video stops working when the final 5 minutes start, can anyone get it to work fully?

Also I can't get the link for Round 17 2008 - Richmond vs. Brisbane to work.

Game works fine for me on VLC 2.2.1. Change the mms to http for it to work instantly. I also had the same problem like you when I used the mms.

Nope, exactly the same thing happened. Spent a minute loading, played for exactly 24 seconds, then stopped the playback.

Edit: Although I do have 2.2.8 installed.

Whole game works perfectly for me. Might just be your player that has the issues.
