Exactly the same thing happened with 2.2.1 on both computers. Loaded for 2 minutes, then played for 24 seconds and quit.

Well despite all that I just tried to actually download a stream instead of playing it back, and so far it appears to be downloading a match, and has been for the last 10 minutes, so I'll see if it actually completes and works.

Yes but the sound gets further and further out every 30 seconds. I'd have to adjust it 100 times throughout the match.

I've just realized that it might actually be this video, I'm recording the audio of the final 5 minutes from the stream onto Audacity, and the stream has the occasional skips in the audio, where the audio goes completely to 0 for half a second. I think what may have happened is when it was recording the stream and got a section with no audio it may have assumed that the audio was not supposed to have any breaks in it, and it was lag on the audio track (like if you were recording radio) and removed the gaps themselves despite the continuing video which has the side effect of un-syncing the audio and video.
