Just looking at our list for possible inclusions and am completely underwhelmed by what I see! As I see it, the following are the only players available for consideration (unless we bring someone of the rookie list!)

3. Kellaway - Effectively still doing his preseason. Unknown quantity after continual leg related injury problems

7. Dragacevic - Talented enough but still finding his feet after 2 years of inactivity. Might be well worth a shot.

16. Holland - Had a setback with a quad strain. Will probably need more time with Coburg.

23. Sipthorpe - Still only a kid. Not sure how well he is doing at Coburg and whether he is pressing for a senior spot.

25. Schulz - What does 'not ready' mean? He is already big enough to play senior football. Why not give him a go?

30. McGrath - Surely must represent a better long term option than the likes of King. He also has the best pair of hands for marking a ball that I've seen in a long time.

31. Hyde - Playing out time until he's delisted at the end of the season. Barely good enough for VFL level let alone the first team.

34. Mills - See Hyde!

Of that list, we've 3 players good enough but coming out from long term injuries plus another 3 kids who have effectively not played any senior football.

maybe this year dragga and hilton might be off.
hilton is definitely in the gun sights.
dragga highly doubtful considering what the lad has been thru and his football smarts.worth keeping for another year.

cheers!

Its only half way through the year and as I see it Hilton still has chances. Maybe he could string a few quality games together and get some for. I wouldnt trade him right now although he is skating (or playing footy :D) on this ice (or grass :D)

I cannot for the life of me work out what we see in Draga. Sure, he's had it tough with injuries. But even before he was injured, I don't remember him being anything at all. I remember our first game v. Adelaide at Colonial (Telstra dome) and he had a shot from 40 metres out and couldn't make the distance.

He must be good to have around the club, but seriously, he has to go. If he gets included at all this season, you have to question the selectors state of mind.

Showbag,

Draga was/is a developing player. I actually went to a practive match where Draga was sitting in the stands. What I have seen, but not that day is, draga is a player who does have some potential, we cant remember since its a long way off in the past.

From my point of view, hes got taller, stronger, filled out. He seems to be pretty big now. Thats the impression I got when I stood next to him. Hes a different player now. I would see how it goes before we start trying to cut an investment without giving it a chance.
