Examples like Buckley , Taylor Adams and to some degree Treloar show that Collingwood agree with the principle that players should be able to choose where the wish to play early in their career. I think OH will stay but most players have little input into where they are drafted..its natural that some players will prefer to have input once a contract ends.

The more he plays at Collingwood , the more likely he becomes comfortable and stays.

One would think he must be close to get a RStar nomination .... seems pretty obvious.

I hope he stays, once he gets 50 games in i think he will be a consistent goal threat. Geelong is a concern for sure.
7 goals in his last two games is a good improvement, he tends to s**t the bed at Marvel stadium for some reason

Won't be going Anywhere.

His Manager is saying Hold Off to probably end of the Season but played really good 2 Games so they might try and do a deal during the Bye IF this form keeps up

Is very keen to get back to the Surfcoast.
Sure, Gold Coast could use him ;)

The kid has said he's happy at the Pies and waiting. Waiting maybe for his form to bump up a contract.

There isn't anything to suggest he only wants to play with his brother apart from the usual manufactured chump lines.

He’s also not even from the Surf Coast.

Lives right in the middle of G-town and played for St Mary’s.

It’s not exactly like Geelong is that far from Melbourne. A huge percentage of the working population commute there every single day.

Some players are just made for the MCG...

I won't be complaining if O. Henry is a MCG specialist!

We have a beauty!!!

If you had him at the cats, would you accept a late first rounder for him?
We would probably have to accept something we didn't want the same way we had to accept something we didn't want for Clark.

It's irrelevant anyway. He's way removed from a list need. Forwards are the only thing we don't want.

You didn’t quite answer my question.

For context, he is probably the most exciting young talent at Collingwood (inclusive of Nick Daicos). We ain’t letting him go for a late first rounder.

I did answer your question.

And I also said you're not going to be asked to trade him so the whole question is irrelevant. The trade cost would way exceed the benefit for a side that doesn't need a forward but is about 5 decent mids short.

Maybe some other side but trading for Henry would be list vandalism for the cats

No because i rate him and id want more but if he was out of contract and left after 2 years thats what we wouldhave to accept its how the system is. We only got as much as we did for clark because he was contracted so factoring that in i think 15-20 is about what youd get if he leaves. Doubt he leaves though.

You’re not wrong with the above and I only got defensive because the question is what’s he worth, not what would the Pies be offered as a low ball because he’s OOC compared to his true worth.

Would be such an uproar from Pies fans if we traded him out for a late teens pick. As mentioned, he is the most exciting prospect at the club and I’d hope everyone agrees his ceiling is bloody high from what we’ve seen thus far.

As already mentioned, very unlikely to go, but stranger things have happened!

You're more excited about Henry than Daicos? Each to their own

Absolutely, IMO Henry has so much X factor about him. He is the pick of the bunch with our current crop of kids. Daicos will be a gun, but he’s not as much a certainty of being a match winner as Henry is going to be. I could be wrong!

I should have been clearer that i was stating what i think he would go for (ie the going rate given how the market works for ooc young players) rather than what i think hes worth. My bad.

I agree hes raw but he has a very high ceiling and if developed well will be a gun.
I doubt he wants to leave as you are playing him and hes developing well and from a geelong POV while i rate him a medium forward is not a list need for us i cant see us chasing him this year, maybe in the future
