Eerily similar right?

Until you see the player themselves come out and say it (like with Papley) then you can take comments like the above as almost a guarantee the player has one foot out the door.

When was the last time we lost a player that we didn't want to? all our players have re-signed in the past decade and we have traded whom we wanted to (Chad, Impey etc). Our club culture is strong we are no Adelaide Crows.

Great outcome for player and club. Wines came to Port as they were coming out of their darkest period and has been a major reason for their amazing turnaround, on and off the field.

He was also run into the ground by Burgess after three seasons and went from being an elite burst player, to a very slow and one paced midfielder (albeit still a good ball winner) and has now come back to being an elite inside player and found the acceleration he lost under Burgess.

He's had an amazing and very unique career to date, and becoming a Port player for life is a tremendous outcome for everyone involved (aside from Damian Barrett).
