Anyone got tales of Olympic woe? A mate of mine spent 4 and a half hours waiting for pre-paid football tickets last night. People who HADN'T bought tickets waited in line for 2 to 2 and a half hours.
You see, some bright spark decided that if people were not at home when the tickets were delivered, they should be shipped BACK TO SYDNEY and stored in a warehouse.
If you wanted to pick up your tickets, they had to PHONE SYDNEY, then get someone in Sydney to FIND YOUR TICKETS IN THE WAREHOUSE and TEAR THEM UP so they could be re-printed and handed to you.
Wanna know the flaw here? The IOC did not think the local ticketing agencies machines were good enough, so they supplied a whole TWO ticket machines to service Queensland.
Goodwill Games here I come!
Anyone catch the SBS special last night?
