Worst thought since the club said "Hey this Stuart Anderson guy won a premiership, he must be good right?"

Hamling falls into that basket as well as Des and Carr. Not sure what your point is?

Could we even afford him ? that would make keeping fyfe at the club even harder next year salary cap wise
and if you have to choose between recruiting JOM or making Fyfe a docker for life , its a no brainer
This is why we aren't into Jaeger. We have the risky gun mid spot saved for Harley (including the pay), need to save some cash for the actual best mid in the comp and hopefully a decent key forward.

Pick him at 7 and it could turn out like the time Tim Watson was picked up by West Coast.

Sits on the pine all year in protest.

To be fair on Tim he had announced his retirement before he was drafted. With lists of 53 the Eagles could afford to do that.

If JOM is forced into the PSD or ND, can JOM say I want a one year contract to the value of 1.5mil for 2017?
Rule 7.8 (A) said that players are bound for 23 months if taken in the PSD.

I'm not sure if that still applies.

He was on 100k what exactly are these massive investments that people are crapping on about? Hogan has a house in WA that helped us alot didn't it.
No, no he wasn't.

In 2015 O'Meara (along with Eric MacKenzie and Tom Liberatore) was paid between $600k-$700k without playing a single game.

Apparently O’Meara knocked back an offer of $800,000 a year by North Melbourne late in the season (2016).

he signed that deal in 2013 during his first season wouldn't have gone straight to 500k-600k. "it is believed" is just a journalist guessing. I'd believe 800k offer but North are dumb.

Apparently we've traded our future second rounder but we dont know what we've got in return

I think weve got a second rounder this year instead of next. The club is backing themselves in to improve massively

the pick we got off GC isn't exactly a high 2nd rounder. Even if we won the flag next year it wouldn't be much of an upgrade.
Yeah agreed my post was while we all had no idea what was going on. I actually thought we were gonna get 23 back from the bennell deal but forgot they had already traded that.
