In 2011, the only side Collingwood lost to was Geelong. Three times, including the Grand Final.

2025, Collingwood has only lost to Geelong and GWS. GWS wasn't in the competition in 2011, so the omen still stands.

Need a lot to go right beyond just coincidences to win from here but the good thing is we have shown we can compete with the two likely candidates, one of them while we were missing some out and our frontliners, will get our third major test against the Dogs. The bad news is we’ve dropped games we probably shouldn’t have, and still can’t string 4 quarters together and haven’t really solved the riddle of how to get a functional best 22 on the park who are all playing a contributing role, and we may not at all.

This is one of those personal type omens, but one I've been monitoring over the past fortnight

Today is the 32nd anniversary of my dad's death - he's the reason I'm a sports mad idiot who bleeds blue & white

Tonight was our 3rd match/prelim on the 19th September since his passing and we've kept our perfect record going 3-0 on this date since 1993

I'm not a religious person, but part of me feels that wherever he is, he's looking over our matches on this date
