Our draw was the hardest and somehow we find ourselves 6-1 after the first 8 weeks of season 2025.Collingwood have possibly had the most difficult draw of all teams to date.

Lets cool our jets lads. Our draw was the hardest and somehow we find ourselves 6-1 after the first 8 weeks of season 2025.
No they have not.7 rounds in, highly skewed by the opposition played.
Of the teams in the Top 8, Gold Coast have only played Adelaide.
Carlton's 'friendly' draw has been well documented.
Collingwood have possibly had the most difficult draw of all teams to date.
Which teams have had a more difficult draw than:No they have not.

To be fair, West Coast likely automatically get the hardest draw, because they don't get to play West CoastLol, Collingwood haven't had the hardest draw to date, West Coast have.
That's a factor but their draw's been harder than Collingwood's.To be fair, West Coast likely automatically get the hardest draw, because they don't get to play West Coast
Hawks have had:Which teams have had a more difficult draw than:
GWS in Sydney
Port Adelaide
Bulldogs
Carlton
Sydney (in Adelaide)
Brisbane in Brisbane
Essendon
So instead of Geelong, the Pies had Brisbane in Brisbane. And instead of West Coast, the Pies have had the Bulldogs.Hawks have had:
Sydney in Syd
Essendon
Carlton
GWS
Port in Adelaide
Geelong
West Coast
Not too dissimilar, before our training run last weekend I would have said ours was harder.
Put your reading glasses on, I said before the WC game.So instead of Geelong, the Pies had Brisbane in Brisbane. And instead of West Coast, the Pies have had the Bulldogs.
Next...
West Coast and North ending up with the hardest and 3rd hardest FIXture respectively thus far is either a seriously odd quirk with how the start of the season has played out or some kind of sick joke.
You can't know that GC are going to improve, but facing Brisbane, GWS, Hawthorn (all away too) within first 7 games is rough.....Freo was always going to be an earlyish game for WC. Carlton also made finals last year and then Essendon as well. That's 4 out of 7 teams from finals in 2024 and 3 of those games away. Why the AFL couldn't schedule WC, North and Richmond to play at least one of each other within the first month of the season ????West Coast and North ending up with the hardest and 3rd hardest FIXture respectively thus far is either a seriously odd quirk with how the fixture has played out or some kind of sick joke.

We have played in 4 different states so far, Port have played in 3. #SAbiasaren't all your games at the same place?

The premiership window is a pretty basic concept. The ladder is based on wins and losses, this ranks you by offence (points for) and defence (points against).
Stands to reason that in finals you need to be able to kick a score whilst at the same time stop the opposition from kicking one.
Going into the finals last year the Lions were 5th because they started the season poorly and they had bad quarters late in the season against GWS and Collingwood which saw them lose those two games narrowly and miss the top 4.
There wasn't too much else wrong with what they were doing.
