I have no idea why anyone would want to keep Jamar- he's rubbish! Sure he may be one of our better ruckman but thats purely due to lack of depth and inexperience! PJ stays, Spencer definately stays and meeson stays in the hope that he fills his potential one day.

The Russian would be one of the first to go in my book. He;s too slow, his ruckwork isnt great and he doesnt get enough of the ball round the ground (and when he does he doesnt use it well). And lastly he's the oldest of the group and I think has n capacity to improve (unlike the others).

Theres my rant, apologies if anyone really likes Jamar no offence intended!

Saj i can not understand keeping someone on the list to fill gaps when we are in the position we're in. As some one else has pointed out we will end up with list cloggers, which he is dangerously close to already being. If we keep Spencer and Meesen then you would think these two younger ruckmen will deserve a go ahead of Jamar(Thats if he is the one of the two to go). We need to keep looking for the talent to take us forward which may mean getting rid of the guys who are never going to make.

Tough decisions come seasons end, but it is time to make them.

DOB's of ruckmen, less then 12 months between Jamar and PJ so wouldn't be a consideration.

Mark Jamar - Aug 83
PJ - June 84
Meesen - june 86
Spencer - Oct 89

Also never forget, Mark Blake has got Geelong to top of the latter past two seasons and Hawks won last year with young ruckmen, less then impressive, ruckmen. It's what you have around them that can make them look good.

Bingo, a good midfield negates a bad ruckman. I'm a big believer in this.

Totally forgort about Meesen's rising from the dead this year, now that i think of it one of Jamar and Spencer could be gone at years end. But it all depends on how the draft is looking and if there is a ruckman that may fall our way. If we were to draft as we did last year we will need to retain all 4 ruckman from this year.
