Oh that is so adorable.
I always get teary when i see them with their kids.

Go blues.

And have a good year Kouta. Just enjoy it. Thanks for all the memories and for doing us proud. It'll be sad when he's gone, but we can be happy knowing he gave us all he could and that one day, there will be a Kouta Jnr running out, maybe even wearing his dad's old number :)

GO BLUES!

What a great day that was at the 'G.
I'm proud to say that I was there to see the great man in full flight, and to see us knock over Melbourne in round 1.

As was I, and I went with a friend who just so happened to be a Melbourne supporter-what a great car trip home that was! :D

Will be sad to see him go, a true champion of the game and of this club, a leader, and an inspiration.

And who could forget that final quarter of the '99 Prelim. Truely magnificent stuff.

GO BLUES!

Let’s not get too nostalgic just yet, King Kouta still has one more year to play, and after coming back from the broken hand injury late last season he was playing like the Kouta of old –still one of the best damn clearance players going around!!!

I watched Round 21 Carlton Collingwood Sat arvo (yes the withdrawl symptoms are a b!t(h – but at least it was the final painful week without fresh footy to watch –YAY!!!) and Kouta’s work around the stoppages was sublime!

At one point the ball had gone to ground inside a pack of players, he dropped to his knees, threw out one arm to fend off an incoming Collingwood player, shoved his other hand into the pack and down onto the ball, plucked it out from under them and got off a great handball!

He hasn’t retired yet so let’s not start saying our goodbyes and eulogizing him already.

Rather, get excited to watch him go around for (at least) one more season leading our new younger and more talented midfield by example –and still giving us plenty more for the highlight reel in 2007!!!
