Runs were there to be had, but we lost a string of late wickets to slow us down and one of the top order really needed to go on and make a monster score. Might not have mattered though, their batsmen were on fire.

Some good signs though, c2r good bowling, we'll bounce back hard.

Nice win boys and girls.

I guess I will be sitting out most of the one day season again. Not that I did much to deserve better but I am sure I am confidence player....I think.....;)
I'm sure if you keep posting you will get a gig some time.

Great all-round performance though, i was looking forward to tonking a few gumbies around but i wasn't even required.:thumbsu:

Cam - I scored the winning runs ;)

Wow, that is some relief after choosing a side where everyone questioned my decisions :D

Ricketts - So much for me being rubbish, hey?

After our deploreable season last year to play well against one of the benchmark teams in the onedayers is very positive, especially with a lot of new blood.

Alkaline and Ricketts were fantastic on debut for us, while Geecat was teriffic as usual.

Cats2rise stepped up and played really well which was good after an indifferent year last season.

Need to pick up full points next test.

A similar story to last season - a late collapse after a brilliant start. Along with the bowling, was the disappointing thing to come out of the match.

The top order was in sparkling form while c2r was very economical with the ball. Unfortunately, on this road most of the bowlers were never going to have much impact.
