Given the amount of midfield injuries this week and the lack of solid 2 gamer cash cows on offer, who is the better prospect out of the two WA boys, Matt de Boer and Adam Cockie? Really the key aspect is who can hold their spot the longest. What are peoples thoughts?

i really really want to go robinson to cockie to have cover for beams and make some cash as robinson isnt going to play anytime soon.
cockie is named on the field which is good but although they arent a great side, west coast have good depth in their team and 1 bad game would have him replaced by 1 of many.
deboer has less competition but unlike suban and hill he is getting named on the bench which is worrying as they do have some players to come back.

really, you shouldnt trade in either of the two until at least next week but with all the injuries happening it's going to be really hard not to for me. i would go cockie

DeBoer should play out the year with Palmer now out and freo looking good on the weekend.

Cockie's spot isn't as safe, I'm spewing that Swift didn't even get a run on the extended bench this week.

mate - i'm looking at a no gamer in Pratt or sidebottom - or i'll have a donut!!

didn't really want to have to upgrade houlihan - wanted him as my 7th back - or a luxury to upgrade if i had trades in hand

think im leaning more toward deboer now after reading an article even though it was before his match
(http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=808140&rss=yes)

"Fremantle coach Mark Harvey said de Boer, 19, had a mature body ready for the rigours of senior football."

"He's got a more seasoned body than a lot of other guys we've got just out of the side at the moment."

"He's got a good temperament and he's got this exciting nature about him that can really enthuse the side."

"I'll ask him to fill a role and hopefully he can do that."

you would think this means he will be given a good shot and therefore should stay in for a few weeks even if he doesn't stand out that much.

just need to work out who freo have that isnt playing in the midfield who could take his spot? can anyone help on that?

Suban will spend more time in the middle, some on the Dockers board are saying. There's also guys like Hinkley and Duffield who will be getting more TOG. Not sure if its as simple as Palmer OUT, DeBoer in.

I think that de boer and cockie will score the same both have up and down games. De boer did average alot of possesions last year in the wafl and cockie has been ripping it up when he playes wafl. Freo need some1 to fill the spot for palmer i think he could do it and i think that west coast need some1 who can fill a small forward roll too and cockie adds some forward pressure aswell so..... i would wait and see after this round , but i have to many injuries and and need some cash now so i have already gone beams to cockie.
