Yes, it's only the NAB Cup, and yes it's a silly tri club event at Blacktown in Sydney's West, but heck it's the start of 2012 on the field for us really.

Yep it's not long now , the club will probably have a few intra club practice matches in the fortnight leading into the first nab cup game.

Can't say I'm exciting at all for the NAB Cup. Our captain went down in the NAB Cup last year and wasn't the same for much of the season because of it. I wish they'd just get rid of it.

Bring on the 30th of March is all I have to say.

Sheedy will mention something about falafels and build the game up, but after the game he will tell it like it is.

I forgot how different the NAB Cup format was this year as well. Every team plays up until the GF with the top 2 teams on points going through. If two teams have big thrashings (play GWS for example) they'll probably make it through.

Tickets go on sale to the general public 9am Monday 6th Feb. Not sure that Collingwood members get a pre-allocation, anybody know? Adult prices are $17. See link below for more info

The game is at Blacktown, which is basically a training ground. Capacity is 10,000 with only 1600 seats. The atmosphere is going to be intimate and anybody going along is going to be in for quite a treat. See link below for more info.

I'm guessing you might want to get in quickly if you want to go. Eddie's mates and Kevin's mates are going to take up a few of those 1600 seats. GWS have a tiny membership (>12000 foundation members, and >4000 members signed up for the 2012 season) but I'd imagine every single one of them will want to go along to watch their team's first AFL games - it isn't going to matter that it's "only" the NAB Cup.
