His head knock this time was down to bad technique this time, he looked like he was trying play the ball off his nose and there was no footwork. If he'd gone properly back and across the ball should have rebounded some metres off the advertising boards.

If it's a one-off, fair enough, mistakes are made in cricket.

But if that is a common part of how he plays short balls, then he shouldn't be playing fast bowlers (anything 130+).

You can get away with that against mediums, but not against quicks. It is terrible technique.

Not sure it’s just about international selection at state level. Queensland are probably better off with Khawaja at 3 or 4.

Again it’s up to the selectors to decide whether Khawaja can open at test level. Katich wasn’t an opener at state level, neither was Watson - both went alright (Watson was kind of sh*** towards the end but his time as an opener was verging on elite). Khawaja has opened a fair bit and has shown his capable.

Honestly if I was selecting a side to try and beat India, Shaun Marsh and Usman Khawaja are who I’d back to score the most runs opening the batting. Their age is irrelevant, as we’ll go back to Warner as soon as we can and Pucovski will never be far away either.

Watch Burns get picked and get 5 runs or so and then get out. Just a waste of a selection. Not sure what the reasoning is for him to even stay in. First it was because him and Warner had a great partnership. Well Warner isn't in anymore. What would constitute him not being selected?

To people having a crack at us Glen Maxwell supporters who say he should not be selected because he has not played red ball cricket for over 12 months hang your head in shame.Disgusting the way the selectors have treated Maxi and he should be playing test cricket and not given the opportunity to play the red ball game.What is more important,the 1 day game or Test Cricket,if in another country would be playing test cricket.Wonderful talent who will never play test cricket for Australia again because of this T20 crap.
