He's still done a better job than Harris would've. (and a couple others in this series so far)

I've always been a believer that Usman should've been picked with his great record in Aus.

Both are batting well and making runs. Wade has been the second best Aussie bat this series.

He also has one score since being dropped from the team and has averaged 30 in FC cricket in that time too.

Yeah, and? He has more runs than Burns, Head, Paine, Smith and Green at this point.

Is he? Then why is he not making runs against the same attacks that the other options have been making runs against?

Wade has shown fight & will be in next test but after as many tests as he's had - not a test batsman.
Usman has shown he can score at highest level - other options can't boast that

He's shown that he can't make runs in the Shield since being dropped.

100% this. Let's hope this inevitable drubbing galvanises us, makes us address our litany of issues and we actually get to play in Sydney instead of another game in Melbourne, where India love to play.
