Yet had he failed in that dig other posters would have torn him to pieces.Unbelievable that some were patting each other on the back for a good call because he got some runs under no pressure when the Indian bowlers were going through the motions.
Actually it’s really not unbelievable given the dribble I see on this board so often.

Who else is there domestically? If Australia go back marsh we've already lost
What it was was an opportunity to get some confidence but should not in any way be put up as credits in the bankYet had he failed in that dig other posters would have torn him to pieces.
Really was a lose lose situation eh.
Harris, Wade at 5Who else is there domestically?
Henriques I want in.
I don’t want Harris in at all. Let’s not discuss as I know we disagree haha.Harris, Wade at 5
It's the obvious one as he's in the squad alreadyI don’t want Harris in at all. Let’s not discuss as I know we disagree haha.
Harris, Wade at 5
In that neither should be in the frame?
Both are batting well and making runs. Wade has been the second best Aussie bat this series. Both those guys are limited batsmen
He also has one score since being dropped from the team and has averaged 30 in FC cricket in that time too.Usman has accomplished test record but whatever
Wade averaging 27 this series & career record after 34 tests is about 30.Both are batting well and making runs. Wade has been the second best Aussie bat this series.
He also has one score since being dropped from the team and has averaged 30 in FC cricket in that time too.
Yeah, and? He has more runs than Burns, Head, Paine, Smith and Green at this point.Wade averaging 27 this series & career record after 34 tests is about 30.
Usman is class above other options
Wade has shown fight & will be in next test but after as many tests as he's had - not a test batsman.Yeah, and? He has more runs than Burns, Head, Paine, Smith and Green at this point.
Is he? Then why is he not making runs against the same attacks that the other options have been making runs against?
He's shown that he can't make runs in the Shield since being dropped.Wade has shown fight & will be in next test but after as many tests as he's had - not a test batsman.
Usman has shown he can score at highest level - other options can't boast that
100% this. Let's hope this inevitable drubbing galvanises us, makes us address our litany of issues and we actually get to play in Sydney instead of another game in Melbourne, where India love to play.I don't think we were mentally prepared for this Test. read into the media hype and just expected them to roll over without us putting in the hard work.
