His average is greatly inflated by the Sri Lanka series, one of the worst touring sides in recent memory. Wade has looked more impressive.Head averages nearly 10 more runs

Yeah his record in recent years is better, but he's played eight shield matches in the past three seasons. The schedule makes it tough now to play enough FC cricket and Carey is a good example of that. Not that I would pick him as a specialist batsman, but he's averaging closer to 50 over the past two years. Only problem is he hasn't had much red ball cricket recently.
In my expert opinion, Alex Carey should be played as a batsmen in the test side!
Most of our batsmen seem to have a major weakness where teams can exploit -- I don't see that with Carey!
Who would you rather -- Carey or Head?
I know who I would pick!!

I would put Harris at the top rather than throw Puc in to open after his latest concussion and other issues. He is super talented but facing Bumrah who will bowl short at him from the start (as any smart bowler would), is a big ask. Have Puc at 5 or keep Wade there and Puc gets a little extra time to gain confidence before a Bris debut. It's not our strongest lineup whilst Wade in there.
How many of those were on the roads in Adelaide?Yeah his record in recent years is better, but he's played eight shield matches in the past three seasons. The schedule makes it tough now to play enough FC cricket and Carey is a good example of that.
Only one of his four was in Adelaide last year. How many of those were on the roads in Adelaide?

Sadly I think Harris is the one hard done by as I do not think they will select but on shield form he should be there.A huge risk and looks like it might happen,Puc opening day 1 in a vital test.Throw the boy in at the deep end perhaps, good luck Will if this happens.

In Shield cricket? It depends whether it's a D/N game or not. D/N games it starts green but day games it's pretty road-ish.Adelaide hasn't been a road for years.
Adelaide hasn't been a road for years.
I was thinking earlier this season but have now found out he didn't play on those gamesAdelaide hasn't been a road for years.
If Puc is the opener long term he should be opening in this test. Harris isn’t the answer.
Where you continue to fail with your anti Carey,Burns,Maxwell,Harris etc comments if guys like that go back to the next level and succeed you still judge them on their past.Harris has performed this season look at the Shield games. As for Maxwell they have stuffed him up with no chance to play the longer version of the game.As for your No.1 worry, your SCG Membership v Corvid ,you have lost me on that one as health is No.1 not your membership or Australia chances in this test series.
Pucovski has more runs anyway and is a much better talent. He plays. Not even close for me.
Sorry for wanting what I paid for. It will be fine.
Playing a injured Warner is a big a risk, save him for the 4th test (if there is one).I hope you realise one day what is No.1 in life right now.Not sport, not your membership but our health. As a Sydney Swans supporter my biggest wish is seeing Buddy back on the SCG in 2021 but even that wish worries me right now.
Warner is fit he wouldn’t be playing if he wasn’t. I’m happy to be going tomorrow and getting some value out of my membership.
Who told you Warner is 100% fit.
He'll be at 70/80% fit by the sounds of things. They're taking a risk playing him but it's worth the risk.I firmly believe if he’s in the side he’s fit. He wouldn’t be playing if he wasn’t. It’s well worth the slight and so mean slight risk

70-80% fit is better than Harris anyway who is the alternative
I have all ready told you umpteen times Harris and you did keep telling us that Warner is 100% fit, lol.
I’d play a 80% fit Warner. 80% is more than enough to bat. Pucovski is a better opener than Harris
